Even if you teach Woodwork, Human Movement, Maths, tiddly winks or Cooking you should be educating MY KIDS and correcting them.
I pay a lot of taxes for you to do your job.

LuvsFooty wrote:There it is! Gets forward, turns it around the corner and thats the 800. What a knock its been. In all seriousness Micky I really think that the more you post on here the bigger the loser you are so I am right up there! I can reveal that the away changerooms at the Goolwa are a certainty to be ready for season 09. The plan is to convert the umpires room which is also the makeshift weights room in to the vistors area and move the umpires to the away changerooms. It will be modern and is of a very good size. Not many of you have seen it but the Strath coach might be able to tell you about it. He's been in there to advise umpires.

Luvsfooty's Highlights during his 800!

1. FootyMad. what a character he was! Used to post about a topic then abuse you via a private message. Definately one of the tougest competitors on the forum

2. Teflon Coated. amazingly appeared the day after FootyMad quit. What was even more amazing is the fact that TC has now left at the same time Bassani went to Sydney to pursue a career in male modeling.

3. Jelom19. an out and out unit, but geez hasn't he brought some comedy to the forum. Love the the betting markets and the fact that he talks me up. Remember that mark Jelom?

4. The Observer. Don't know much about him but we owe the privlige of posting to him. He started it all way back in January 06.

5. Limb. He works at the local council and does sweet f**k all. Its just so good seeing my rates get put to use.

6. BJErnest. The least controversial poster of all time. BJ fire up and write some nasty stuff. Has he got it in him?

7. Panther32. We know you play in the RMFL, but I have never seen someone miss the GSFL so much. P32 if your so desperate to come back, please sign at the Saints. Your safe with us, you have very little chance of going out in straight sets.

8. Jackpot Jim. Says and does not a whole lot, is the most elusive poster. I think I have worked everyone on this forum out but I still dont know who this is.

9. Cuzzy. by the far the poster that talks the most crap and yet he's wasted another year in talking the Bays up only to see them crash and burn in the Elimination, but having said that we need him on here beacuse it makes the rest of us look so knowledgeable.

10. Micky Conlon. Has been on here for a long time. Very rarely posts anything of length but always sharp

Special mentions to Damian, Kappars, Grape Ape, Eagles23, A Mum, Toughcall, Jingles

Hahahaha funny stuff LF, bloody good feedback and gives me as a new guy some insight.

Sorry to go over old news but there are some posters here that seem to want to jump on teams and individuals when they are down?
From what I saw i thought Enc Bay and Victor had good years but ended badly. Enc Bay should've gone on but were let down by a particular player on the big day who cracked under pressure big time - personally I think his big head got the better of him and he spat it when he couldn't get the ball. I can say this as I was next the bay bench up until half time.

What a load of crap people getting on here and blaming coaches; in my experience if I were coaching the first week of finals I wouldnt be giving away entire game plans at the breaks for all to hear but hey thats just me.

What are peoples tips for this week? Who will meet the Demons?

You could also put the bays poor performance down to poor commitment, after all at least 4 players did go to the crown and got blind the night before!

Early on I think they looked lost and inexperienced, I'm not sure I agree with Cuzzy about the Compass side being good - they simply played footy but did nothing special.

Don't know the exact figure now. I have been out of the loop for a while. It was considerably less when I was on. All clubs would have this information.

Also from another post Red card means straight to the tribunal.

It is going to be an interesting game at McLaren on Saturday.
Strath who play a fast outside game against The Creek, the best tackling and hard at it side in the Comp.

If this lovely spring weather holds Strath should win, however if the wind comes up and some rain falls, Langhornes will come into the picture.

My Tip Strath by 10 points

I was quite surprised that Willunga were beaten so comprehensively in the B Grade last Saturday. After being the dominant team all season they've now lost their last 2 matches to Strath by pretty reasonable margins and now take on Langhorne Creek in the Prelim to keep their season alive. Strath are certainly the team to beat with the form they've struck over the past month.

The Senior Colts competition remains to be closely contested. Strath will take on either Mt Compass or McLaren who all finished the minor round within a couple of premiership points of each other.

Obviously Willunga are red hot favourites to win another flag in the A Grade however this weeks match between Langhorne Creek and Strath will be a fantastic contest. The clash at Encounter Bay a fortnight ago was one of the best games of footy I've watched this year and I'm tipping the final margin will be less than a goal again this time around.

Looking forward to another cracking week of finals at McLaren on Saturday!

Yes you are right Mr Magoo, this weeks games at McLarens should be crackers. Can anyone tell me what the oval is like?

In the A grade there is too vastly different teams Strath -free flowing and move the footy really well, Creek who love it tough.

In the B grade Willunga will want to make up for their efforts on Saturday and Langhorne Creek are really starting to hit their straps

In the Senior Colts, Mt Compass boys will be looking to capitalise on a successful season however the McLaren boys are firing at the moment and from what i saw on the weekend are playing some really good footy.

In the Junior colts, Willunga are more fancied however can LF's little fellas cause another sensational upset and continue their fairytale run.

Teams to win this weekend:

A Grade - Strath by 2 goals
B Grade - Willunga by 6 goals
Senior Colts - Mclaren by 3 points
Junior Colts - Saints by 1 point (again)

Congratulations to Willunga and Strath still 3 sides left in Finals, Mclaren and Creeks with a couple and Compass and the Saints with a team representing them this week.

I think the Grand Finals will look like this:

A Grade - Willunga V Strath
B Grade - Strath V Willunga
Senior Colts - Strath V Mclaren
Junior Colts - Mclaren V Saints

The Oval at McLaren's looks in very good nick......as does Myponga Myponga was mowed last Friday so it has dried out.

Compass doesn't look too wet, however it is very uneven.

I reckon we should give A  Mum
and her mob a real challenge...
The Prelim this week then the Grand Final next week as Compass is not up to scratch for a Grand Final.

Fine to run Cows around on though!!!!!!!!!

It's very, very quiet in here today 8-[ Must be lots of work getting done all over the great southern area :D

Just a question:

You know how there was junior coach of the year and that's been announced...

Was there a senior coach of the year... did I miss that somewhere or do they wait until the end of the season ??

They named it at the Senior Medal night. Barry Pilmore was named Senior Coach of the year. I personally think the coach of the year should be the premiership coach (hopefully thats Barry)

The oval should be in pristine condition. It hasn't been played on for a while now, only training sessions. Was at the ground last week and they have let it grow a bit. Afterb the mow it will recieve this week should cme up like Adelaide oval :D . Hope the senior colts can get up this weekend they are playing great team footy at the moment. Young fella up forward, Konky, is an absolute freak and look forward to seeing him play some more senior footy next year. Any newes from the compass senior colts Mr T.

Yeah our boys are looking good i watched them train last night. As for this Konky fella i reckon we have the perfect match up, but again it comes down to the coach and what he wants.
