Not sure which one would've declined it, but whichever club did is very stupid. Probably Walkerville, as Flinders Park surely wouldn't want their Bs and Cs playing at the same time.Suri wrote:Heard that the SAAFL put forward the chance to have 3 games at Braod Spectrum Oval on Sat, as FP and Walkies play of in the B's and C's, the C's would start at 10 or so. But the league website has the C grade game at Lockley's at 12:10.
I wonder which club said no to having the C's play early, FP or Walkies?

BH, not sure if I'm getting down there yet, tempted just to stay up north and watch Golden Grove v Greenacres at the club...

EP were very good.
I did my back and came off half way through the second quarter. The boys gave their best effort and we'll have another crack next year.

For someone who acts like he knows was happened you OBVIOUSLY dont know anything....
Firstly it was a bump resulting from a shepherd where one player went to ground (does that sound like a crash tackle idiot)
Secondly, and most importantly, the players was certainly not spat on or at. It is a very dangerous thing posting falsities on a public forum. You leave yourself open to all sorts of action.
You have clearly posted something on here based on what you have been told by someone wanting to sensationalise things, as opposed to actually seeing it yourself.
If you did see it yourself you must have been 14 cans into a slab cos you have no idea what happened.....

I was there watching and BH is correct that it was a bump resulting from a shepherd but NW is certainly correct when he says that the EP player spat in the direction of the Kilburn player. Althoug forgot to mention about the spitting directed near the Kilburn bench area. The bump was fair and legitimate, but the rest was not necessary.

boozehound was great on sat probably shut some critics up,a fantastic game of football from both sides ben hancock shut down wilson and steggle had little influence on the game.a credit to A. wilson after the game when shaking hands with EP players seen him say to our coach make sure we take it out now, which was great sportsman ship.

That bloke wouldn't be you by any chance would it mate? Seen ya at the game the last couple of weeks...lovetotalkfooty wrote:Boozehound or Robran you may be able to answer this. Is it true that Payney is signed sealed and delivered to the Sturt u/18's for next year and wont be hanging around the parkies next year. You would think that to further his coaching career it would be a very smart move but on the other hand harsh on the boys he's coached for the last two years. Personally i hope he gets the sturt job as i know a player that left at the start of the year to play down south is keen to come back as there next senior coach.

Sorry Suri, I was saying that if FP were offered the triple-header surely they would've jumped at it so all three grades could be at the same venue, that seems like it makes more sense than having two at Broadspectrum at one at Lockleys.Suri wrote:Pag wrote:Not sure which one would've declined it, but whichever club did is very stupid. Pag, you say that FP wouldnt want their Bs and Cs playing at the same time, but they are. I wouldve thought FP would want that to happen so they can have more people at the A grade game.
Its disappointing that all 3 games cant be at the same oval, but if the reason is because Walkies have shift workers who cant play a 10am game then thats fair enough. Unfortunate, but a fair enough call.
