Interesting to see Inkster starting after not training & watching him through the warm up, he never looked like he was fit, coming off qtr time with a hamstring ( thats what you get playing unfit blokes )
Henley would be devastated going out in straight sets after paying the $$$ they did pre-season to win the flag, i think its shown alot to other sides in the comp, (you can't buy a flag)
The only side that can take it up to Goody's on a fine day after today is Gepps Cross, they have the talls to combat Goodwood & the mids to match, i honestly thought Salis Nth had what it takes but now realise they havn't the height to match the sides like Goodwood & Gepps.
I believe the GF will be against Goodies & Gepps.

A great win after being 4 down 10 mins into the 3rd quarter, everyone played their part in a great effort.

However, a typical Henley reaction, no results sent to the Sunday Mail. I can understand the disappointment but the home side has a responsibility to provide match details. Ah well, just another fine for the cash strapped Sharks.
Incidentally, Match Day Officials are not supposed to become abusive or aggressive toward opposition club officials, unless of course you are the idiot from Henley who couldn't handle the loss and really lost his cool. Very poor form but I guess he too was thinking about the wasted money and effort.

Mate, if a 10 goal turnaround from 10 mins into the 3rd quarter isn't "beaten easily" I don't know what is!

I predicted it in a previous page of this forum. Gepps are the team to beat anad will contest the GF..

Gepps are no-doubt the only side that can take it up to Goodies if we have a fine day.
Salis Nth arn't big enough, Gepps have alot of tall timber that will worry the hell out of Goodies.
Salis Nth are good but they'd want to be hoping for wet weather.

GX started to play as a team [ not a side ] in last 1&1/2 qtrs. signs are reasonable for them against a side that have the wood on them this season. will be a very interesting game this weekend.

As I have previously said on here and to the guys on Grass Roots footy, GX are the ONLY danger to Goodwood. If it stays dry for the following two saturdays GX will Win the flag. What worries me is that showers are forecast for saturday.

I really hope the Rams can get on top of Salis North AGAIN (just like 2002!!!!! Woo Hooo) and have a nice dry day for the GF against Goodwood Saints. I dont think there is a defence in the league that can match it with the GX forward line on a dry day (this takes nothing away from Heath Mortimer who is the best defender I have ever played against). GX midfield is only matched by that of Goodwood Saints. Salis north are the only othwer midfield that comes close.

As said previously i knew the Sharks would fall over when it ran into Gepps on a fine day.....Cmon on Channel 31 tell the people how right I was..... ;)

GX and good weather = premiership.

Actually in finals the winning side has the responsibility which is why most of the away side winners didn't have scores in on the weekend.

Bubbula, it takes a bigger person to apologise than it does to come up with "smart arse" comments, so you just worry about your own issues 'cause I think you've got quite a few.

I just wonder where the mighty Sharks are circling today in 08, they were circling Alberton Oval yesterday with sorry looks on their faces.
Injuries were the talk for their failure at Shark Park saturday which was expected after a loss, to add to those woes Lee Pastyn was forced off the ground in the 3rd with what looked to be a serious knee injury that could keep him out for the whole of next year.
Luke Duncan will be playing at Penola next year & will be missed at Henley, i wonder how many more will be off and about after a dissappointing straight sets home finals disaster?

Maybe they were deliberately pumped up by him to have them believing they were better than they really were.

NM, the injuries were their own fault, playing Inkster was a huge mistake and a couple got hit with fair but solid bumps. Not sure about Pastyn, you don't like seeing that if that is the case.
As for Duncan, he's becoming another football mercenary that chases the 'smash' anywhere and everywhere

A bit hard on Duncan CC he's moving over to Penola with the family because his wifes from there & she's supported him for a while here in Adelaide so he's returning the compliment which is a good thing.
