Good luck to the GGFC boys this weekend against TTG. Will no doubt be a cracker of game as round 18 was.
TTG definitly are no slouches and if we can contain Reece Forbes again we should be a good show. I'm sure if anyone saw the standard of footy that the 3 remaining clubs (GG, TTG and Modbury) have dished out all year they would be surprised that C5 was capable of this. Any of these 3 sides missing out on the flag could consider themselves unlucky because of the awesome years they have had, but the results speak for themselves this year. In the minor round these 3 teams all had a win and a loss against each other, in the finals Modbury have beaten both TTG (2 goals) and GG (1 goal).
I'm looking forward to a good, hard, fair game and hopefully the beer tastes nice afterwards !!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I am unfamiliar with the structure of the C divisions... do top two in each division go up a division like in the A grade?? Or does the C and D grades depend on how successful the A's of the club are. For example Grove has gone up two divisions in two years... do the C's go up one because of this, or do they have to come top 2??? Also we are having a D grade next year... does this affect the position of the C grade? Do we go up more divisions because our C and D grade can never possibly be in the same division.

They go up with the A grade
i.e. GG will play C4 next year as their A grade has gone to Div 4

What a cracker of a game between TTG and Golden Grove!! It had everything - a couple of scuffles, a send off, some big grabs, some strange umpiring decisions - and the game was won by GG in the last 10 seconds after the scores were level. TTG had about 4 shots at goal that could have won them the game, but GG kicked truly right at the death. Great game to watch as a neutral supporter! Well done to both sides

I thought the umpires were absolutly disgraceful!! No consistancy, didnt call obvious frees, yet picked little ones out of thin air.

Not good. Mate send them the bill and let them pay for it. Stuff like that is crap and I thought TTG are much better than that.

They didn't appear to take the loss too well... A few guys refusing to shake hands which is weak. Play the game, shake hands afterwards no matter what. It's easy.

Looks like another top game on the cards between GG and Modbury this week in the 'Granny'. A game definitly not a C5 standard and a game that someone will unfortunately have to lose !! Personally I hope it's Modbury that loses, but all respect to them for the year they have had, for the way they play the game and they way it's all left out on the field. I definitly look forward to a good, hard game and a few beers afterwards if I'm still standing... But GO THE BURRA'S !!!

I got asked to poke my head in after we heard a few loud "bangs" when the boys were walking back in, but I didn't because 2 of their players are actually HV cricketers who use those top changerooms and I thought they wouldn't let anything like that happen - obviously I was wrong!!

Poor form really

Is that what all the kerfuffle was about Harvey over the weekend ??
