I've been saying it from day one Sibe. IPL will be the ruination of the great game and it won't give me any pleasure at all to say 'I told you so'. CA should get some hefty cash from somewhere to retain the best players for the baggy green. Maybe it's time to start a bidding war for coverage. An added bonus would be that we could piss off the dinosaurs on the Nine commentary team. Imagine a summer with no Tony Greig? Bliss!

but don't give it to channel 7 they're Sh*t.

The thing that probably will never be known is did Symonds have any knowledge of this team meeting before he left for fishing????

If he did then the action taken is appropriate but if not then it is a bit OTT

I think Nine should give Tony and Chappelli the flick and bring in Gilchrist and Warne.

Greig has a job for life at Nine. Therefore the only sensible solution is to kill him. Hooters is right about Seven too they are a disgrace.

Perfect! That is great way for Gyngell to terminate one of Kerry's long standing WSC contracts.

While they're at it, they may as well euthanise Richie as well...

Chappelli is one of the best commentators in the game! Can get a bit "back in my day....." sometimes, but his tactical knowledge of the game is second to none. Get rid of that pom, whatever his name is, sensationalises everthing and always states the obvious.

PAFC 1870 I agree 100% Chappelli's knowledge of the game is first rate and OTM all the time. I'd euthenase Nicholas before Ritchie anyday...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

hmm, I think his test career could well be over, but he still will give a good contribution to the ODI games.....

Hopefully he gets back into the Test team as soon as possible as we need him. It would be great to have him in India at the moment.

he probably might get a run in the Test series this summer over here, but I think he is past his best Test cricket and could soon just play ODI's.....

Based on what exactly? If on ability and what he is still capable of you are so far off the mark. If you are basing it on what the selectors and d/heads in Cricket Australia might dictate then you may well be right.

It isn't really based on anything, just on my feeling. Symonds has past his best cricket and he will certainly play another Test but I can't see him playing Test cricket in Australia next summer.

Who knows, im most likely wrong, it's just what i feel at the moment. I bet he goes out and scores a ton in his next dig for QLD!

I meant, Symonds WILL play another TEST and it will most LIKELY be THIS summer in AUSTRALIA but after THIS summer in AUSTRALIA he will no longer PLAY TEST CRICKET!

Understand now?

That makes more sense but i still disagree. If he gets a game this summer he will play on for a while longer yet. I doubt he will get recalled to the side though unfortunately. He would be very very handy to have over in India right now.
