One thing I know and I dont have much to do with footy other than watching is that some people need to get a life - spending all year doing footy stuff is a joke. It would be nice to see an end to Rangers dominance they have had in the last 10 years. My tip is Mallees if they meet them should get over the line. Does anyone know the last time a team has one three in a row and how many times has it been done? Dees to rise for the occasion as we do in finals.

Unfortunately for a club to keep going you need some people that do footy all year round. If there was more help then these people could have more of a life but some people just enjoy doing it for their clubs.

nah not at all writing off the dees.. do that at your own peril, but at this stage i dont just dont know what to expect when they run out onto the field. will they beat mallee park or lose to tasmans?? inconsistency is an issue, but at there best could take home the flag..

Waybacks won four in a row in the 70's, Mallee Park has done 4 in a row twice. Once in the 80's once in the 90's. Pretty sure anyway, thats according to "Footypedia"

the better the oval is the more Mallees will run and use the ball better. Waybacks should be praying for rain

We have been praying for the rain to stop for the past month, cant work out why we would want it to re-start...
Both sides near full strength....looking forward to it.

This is not a comeback from me but found the following worthy of a post to see certain posters reactions.

The MRFC are seriously considering leaving the PLFL to join GF. I'm led to believe they have had several internal meetings regarding the issue and have even had what was meant to be a confidential meeting with officials from GF.

They can see their club suffering severely in the coming years from the problem of having a daughter in PL for netball while a son is out at Wangary playing football. One parent in Lincoln, one at Wangary running two vehicles!!

I already know of a couple of my mates out there with kids that are going to join GF clubs regardless, once their kids reach sporting age. The names of these families are long time MR families but in this day and age and the travel factor this is by far the easier and more cost efficient option. The whole family will be at one venue and I can understand completely (especially as Mum can drive Dad home )

They are looking at adopting Bulldogs colours and this could happen a lot sooner than a lot of people think. The departure of MR from the PLFL would certainly weaken our comp and it's credibility with one of the biggest supported clubs jumping ship.

It's now time for some serious discussions to take place to fast track the alignment of football and netball clubs so a joint super league can be formed to ensure a healthy and vibrant standard of footy on the lower EP.

So, what do we think of that.......

panther I heard rumours of this when I was still over there playing and that was 5 years ago! any way I think it would be good for the GF comp as it provides more competition and less chance of those Rambler pr*ks to win more flags

the GFFL have quite clearly stated (not publically) that they will have no thoughts of merging while one particular club is involved!
