Yeah..It was one of the Love boys who spat the dummy.
Think he was given a spell on the bench, or maybe a slight injury just before half time.
Came off in an ordinary mood and went straight to the rooms.
El President went in to the rooms to calm things down.

The team came out after half time, (still with a chance being 3 or 4 goals down) looking very dispirited....and not as a tight unit as they have done all year.
Compass kicked the first for the quarter and that was pretty much it.
The bays did hang in but without real passion.

The B's between Compass and the crows
Not a bad game with no more than 2 goals between each side all day
Compass kicked a goal with 1 minute to go and scores were locked away

Extra 5 minutes each way. The crows with the wind. No score for 5 Minutes
Compass should win.HOWEVER..
3 MINUTES PLAYED NO SCORE ...wHAT HAPPENS IF IT IS STILL TIED EVERYONE ASKS
Mark to McLaren 60 metres out...50 metre penalty
kick a goal against the wind. The crows another point and then one of their players missed from 2 metres out (on an angle)
Compass a point.
Siren Blows

Oval in good nick, umpiring..the less said the better Crowd very dissappointing and ran out of hot food before quarter time except for the BBQ

Mr Magoo.. the crows ?? I wish we were the crows then I wouldn't have to bite my finger nails so much !!

The canteen ran out of food :o ...quarter time of what game?? I remember first game of the season our canteen was 'accused' by Willunga of running out of food (Which we didn't) and a big ho ha was made about it.
Just goes to show no ones perfect I suppose. O:)

When you say crowd was dissapointing... do you mean the numbers of people the whole day or during the A grade?? or something else completely??

Do we ever hear how many people go through the gates (just out of interest sake) ... like there were 2000 people etc??

And does anyone actually know what does happen if it's still all drawn after the extra 5 mins?? Is it another 5 mins each way??

O:)

No accusations of running out of food Mum, it did run out of hot food!!! It was a night match and people were unable to get hot food. All good tho, it is hard to assess how much food you're gonna need, probably harder in finals in regards to there not being another chance to sell any of the food at a later game. I hadnt heard the canteen ran out of food until just now so apologies to anyone who missed. At least the BBQ was still going!

Id assume the game would just keep going until a result is found after the extra time, im not sure it has ever happened.

Correct. Another 5 minutes each way, until a team finishes the extra periods in front.

Would be interesting to know how many people go through the gates! The league would be making some good coing sluggin' all members of the public $7 enty, even to walk into the ground!

I can tell you exaclty what happened first hand BJ because I was in there :D

We didn't actually run out of food as we have ongoing food supplies in Schnitzel packs, Schnitzel burgers, wedges packs etc, etc, etc. What happened was there was a period of time about an hour where we had no one to actually cook the food... our 'cook' had to take off leaving all 'learners and volunteers' in the kitchen....but we did tell people that if they wanted to come back nearing the end of the A grade then we'd quite happily and readily have hot food for them..... But you're right, and no need for you to appologise for your canteen running out of food, these things are really hard to cater for, you don't know how many people there are going to be etc, etc. I beleive it's a hard job running the footy club canteen !! :) And well done to all canteen people who try to do it !!

But I can tell you that we don't ever actually run out of food and never have in our canteen this year... we have plenty of hot food flowing on into tea time every week :D

Didn't someone vote us as best canteen a while back :-"

So for an hour it did. I guess the people i most speak to in regards to this would be the B graders looking for a feed after the game. No harm done tho, they probs didnt need the hot dog or pie anyway.

Canteen volunteers do an unbelievable job, the time they give is outstanding and is much appreciated by all at the oval! Bar Staff, bbq cooks, everyone that puts their hand up and gives their time to be apart of a football club deserves much credit. =D>

Too right... it's going to cost me $28 this weekend... that's only one family... times that by a few more families and there's lots of money there... not to mention the supporters that may not necessarily come out at other times... like grandparents and other family members supporting.

What do the GSFL do with their money?? (I'm not being smart or funny... may sound a dumb question though !!... but I'm just wondering) :D

Sorry about the Crows
McLaren it will be!!!!!

No hot food during the A's
The crowd ...just a judgement
Not many in the grandstand...about 15
Not many by the coaches box
2 in the BBQ area
Plenty of parking spaces detween the scoreboard and Social Club (none on the fence though)
Not many sitting around the fence line

It was cold and only 2 spits twice.

By the way MUM make sure there is plenty of food for the Prelim
3 sides this week...should have 2 next week...the reserves will struggle

Schnitzel packs, schnitzel burgers, wedges packs, and even lamb and chicken yiros... along with your normal pies, sausage rolls, pasties and hot dogs !!

:D

Tips for you
Three in the boot will save $21
Left the life member badge at home usually works
Camera around the neck with a big lens (photograper from the Argus)
South Adelaide top....to do a presentation
Police Car works every time
Tray of pasties on the front seat doing a delivery to the canteen
Just picking up my son from the U/14's who has an injury and can't walk
Walk in rather than drive works very well
Show last weeks ticket and say you have already paid

Go with Jelom 19 he has never paid for anything in his life.
Simplest..climb the fence

You forgot about the wine and Steak Sandwiches from the Blue Van.
Best Steak sandwiches in the league and a hot number who serves
I see a coffee and donut van as well

And the afternoon tea that the officials have looks the best of any club

Who is the president....looks very official ..yet very friendly

Mr Magoo... you're distracting me from my work

Yes blue van, coffee and donut van, great canteen etc, etc...
Lots of comfort food for losing teams :D

Our president is Ian Pollard... yes very friendly O:) .... I think it must run in the family... his son (An A grader) is always interested and talking to my son about how he went in his game each week. I find that commendable, taking an interest in a younger club member like that O:)

I'd be interested to know that too Jackpot Jim... what is the selection criteria?? Maybe it changes each year?? Do they get any 'club' input??

Langhorne Creek grow some pretty good grapes, JJ but I think there is a distinct sour edge to this.
