That's a bit cocky resting players against a top 3 side a week out from the finals.

not saying they rested players, but why not? who won or lost had no bearing on where they would finish and ensured their players were tip top for the following week, good player management which happens in all grades of footy, Crawford rested this week for example

I heard the fuzz didnt go to their last sunday training either. Prob too busy eating breakfast.

Joel's qualified to why not play him, he'll be a welcome addition to the midfield against a quick Mallala outfit

Anyone heard any more on the progress of the Robertstown application to APFL? Is it still with the SANFL? have the SANFL even met to discuss yet?

Having three games up your belt in top spot, it would be piss poor management to play half fit blokes this time of year when the result (whilst it would have been great to win) is wasnt do-or-die. We had six players that were carrying injuries, and given we havent had a bye for 6 weeks it was pointless playing them last week. If we had of played these blokes and won by a point, what do you think Mallala would gain out of such a result? Thats is certainly not inferring that Mallala didnt put 110% into winning the game. The last thing we wanted is for HWE to gain momentum and belief this time of year, plus they played really well and desered the win. Alternatively Mallala werent at thier best. The eagles were the best team on the day, which is all you need to be, to win a game.

Peckers will be at full strength this week with the returns of McLean and Catford which will help erase the error filled display of the weekend.

Are you inferring that Balaklava rested MacLean and Catford too? Now thats cocky HB if it was the case!

Balaklava falling apart when it matters, or not?? Bluey back to his best, Walks letting fly, hows the timing. Andy Michael would be stoked!
..... and yes Joel Wilson will be a handy inclusion this week against the pies. Is that the same guy who opted for to play association over club footy against the top side halfway through the year Ace?
Nah kidding... superb bloke and unreal player for the Eagles over the years.

Roly McLean has been out for a month with a calf strain and Catty rolled an ankle last week, both genuine injuries and would both of played if fit to try to keep 2nd spot which we lost after the Eagles rolled the Pies.

Hey Swampy you lot won't Bluey back cos you can have him.

Will be however a valuable player in the 2's as his recent form in the 1's has been patchy to say the least and now has a chance to prove himself again.

Was picked as 1st Rover for Saturday's game until he turned up as the rest of the team was running out, he joined them while they were still doing their warm up.

Piss poor effort. Shows a real lack of respect for your teammates. I'm sure AJ gave him a big rev up!

He'll kick 8 in the 2's this week and win the a spot in the prelim for Balak, but the A's will more than likely get done at his expense, but I doubt wouldve qualified for B's for the prelim would've he? Its a big call to play him the B's as he is one bloke for Balak that could win you a final.

Played 1 game in the seconds mid season after being dropped for having a go at AJ when he dragged him against the Pies.

Remember McMillan when he was in year 9 and everyone thought he was going to be a gun footballer. Seems like he believed his own press a little early and turned into a knob. Maybe he'll learn a lesson next year when his match payments are cut.
