Nunan will win ahead of Burchy, he will and should go very close as I think Burch's teammates will mostly be fighting it out for the 2s and 1s, he had numerous standout games, as his MASSIVE win in Lofty's B and F indicated. Gigney will go very close, and maybe Ebert? Was his year good enough to get him close? Nunan would be a deserving winner though, I don't think any other player in the league would be as important to their team as him.

Congrats to Nunan well deserved. Good count came down to the last round. Thought Burch and Cooper may have polled better.

Ironbank boys owe Nunan a beer, or we would have heard about Wendelborn's win all summer! But seriously, no surprise in the winner and if the big wet had not set in I am sure Scotty Wendelborn would have got up and won. Must have polled a stack of votes in first half.

your right there AF wendles most certainly does enjoy his own company.

Heinrich from Mt Barker believes he was hard done by from the umps and should have been up there in the leader board i have heard.

Apparently he thinks Nunan got the recognition for all of his hard work????

That's a bit tough on Nunan as good a player as Heinrich is he certainly isn't a Nunan. The two times I saw Nunan play this year he destroyed the opposition and I can't remember even seeing Heinrich the first time.

Well done to Nunan and Higginson.

I've always thought Higginson was a good player in the B's. Hard as nails and has a cracking left foot. Dirty bastard, but aren't we all :D . He's played quite a few A grade games too from memory?

I always enjoy your jibes at Heinrich SS - classic stuff. Do you know if he reads the forum?

I'd like to start this post by saying that I have no problem with what happened with Mt Lofty B Grade having their loss taken away as it was our administerial error.

Tonight the HFL's finals eligibility rules have been exposed as an absolute farce. A guy that gets dropped from A grade during the finals is being made, due to the HFL rules, to sit out of the clubs B Grade final the same weekend. This means that the same player who also sat out last weekend (which was fair enough) is denied the chance to work up match fitness and attempt to win his spot back in the A's because the matches are on different days- yet if B Grade were playing on Saturday before the A's he would have been ok to play???????????????????????

Dont know if i made any sense but I ask why is it different when the games are played on the same day as opposed to games played Sat/Sun???? What possible advantage would a club from the games being played on different days when clearly no player is allowed to play in both games.

The rule is there to stop the side with the week off, dropping players back into the B grade to help them get through, and then putting them back up the next week.If they are both playing then they would be hurting their A grade to help the B grade. But if their A's have the week off, it can be done with no consequence(injuries aside). The rule actually makes sense for the primary reason it is there for, unfortunately it doesnt work in all cirumstances, like for someone dropped after the last game of the minor round in the side that finishes on top, but its a nessecary consequence. If the rule wasnt there, for example a Prelim final with the A grade already through, Mt lofty decided to drop back Burch, Gordon, Wood etc into the B's to get them through to the Grand final, just for them to play A's the next week, would that be fair? imagine the out cry. So in my opinion the rule is fair and required, it just unfortunately has an unfortunate side effect.

Surely that can't be right, that's absoluelty ridiculous, are they really suggesting clubs would not pick a player in the A grade semi final to try and stack a B grade side for a final the following day!!!!
