Wearing tights FEELS GOOD.
Robin Hood, Henry the eighth, captain Cook all wore tights
I like to leave them on all Saturday Night

Mr Magoo ... I don't think McLaren have 'invaded' this site :) I think that word has got around about the forum in all clubs... after all its the only place we can come and discuss our league with people who understand what's going on around the place.

I for one think it's a fantastic opportunity for hearing what's going on out there etc, etc.

I think this whole safooty.net site has had a huge increase in members and 'hits' just by reading a post in another section in the past month...... words just getting around I think.

Invading is not a bad thing. Just goes to show that the mob at McLarens are pretty passionate about their club and the game.

After all Robin Hood and his men in tights came into being when their King Richard was overseas invading Turkey and Persia during the holy wars.
England invaded Australia, New Zealand (why NZ) and America ....lucky for us. Unlucky for others

Removed from the board ?? :-s

The new coach/coaches (as in all grades) (if there is one) Will be decided by the selection panel....nothing to do with me :D

I am mostly involved on the juniors side of things and I think we have some really good people at the club.... so the future looks bright O:)

Hope that is true for your juniors then. Just heard a whisper about trouble with selections for the A grade coach, by several Board members, who have been told like it or leave it, so they chose the latter? Don't know how true that is, was just a whisper :-k :-k :-k

Anyway, has anyone heard about the Strath coach yet? was the hearing last night or tonight? surely its a case of how many games, if he ONLY gave them some words of advice?
but after playing under him through the SANFL i thought he would make a good country coach, but this might hamper that in years to come.

Get inspired for the finals this week by watching "alive and kicking" tonight on SBS. Its a 4 part series about country footy. Classic stuff that shows that we are pretty lucky in the GSFL. There are plenty of clubs and leagues around the place that are doing it tough

We are off to Yank to play VH. Victor have the mail medalist and have only lost 3 games all year so they will be red hot favourites, but we will have a go and see what happens.

Umpires also should have got hold of situations alot better.

As someone who has watched a few different snr colts teams this year, i have seen other incidents involving the saints. Was watchin the willungav goolwa game and goolwa players charged in and started brawling with the willunga guys....IN THE WARM UP. now that just isnt footy. i also saw a lot of incidents of players getting hit high and in some cases purposly low , whilst trying to lay a shepard or even after they had disposed of the footy. This is dirty stuff but personally i like playing teams like this coz it sometimes it takes getting hit high a couple of times to fire up and really go hard at the footy. but that might just be me ](*,)

congratulations to all the mail medalist!!! you have done an amazing job as some great footballers havent had the privledge to win one, me being one of these people. Also a massive congrats to Gianni petrucci of Mclaren, he is an awsome coach and proved this as he took the Eagles to a flag last year and has a chance of back to back, his coaching will be shown this weekend in a cliffhanger against creek.

I agree totally, let the players have a bit of fun and hit each other and the ball hard, all within reason. Long gone are the days where every player hit the ball hard, but it still needs to happen regularly. By also saw a lot of incidents of players getting hit high and in some cases purposly low , whilst trying to lay a shepard or even after they had disposed of the footy , it may teach these so called "outside" players a thing or two.
