Welcome to the forum CF. Any known reasons why the strath coach won't get any matches?

How do you suspend a coach anyway? Ban him from the ground?

Surely it's up to the club to discipline its officials. Umpires are the most sacred thing in footy.

Point taken. Nothing was done when they breached their allocated points system, instead the league changed the rules again because it was too complicated for the roosters to understand!

A suspended coach is unable to sit on the bench or be with the players before the game and at breaks. (I think) How that would stop the coach coaching i don't know, it would be too easy for him to be on his phone in a car speaking to the runner or people around the bench area giving orders.

Agree with Jelom 19
10 pages in a couple of days ....been good reading, however
I am starting to think Mclarens have invaded this site.
Eagles no4 is certainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Sometimes it is a good idea to start the brain going before writing.

The discussions on Best and fairest voting have been interesting...
unfortunately the men in white..or is it green or is it orange don't know
anymore.....ARE THE ONLY IMPARTIAL ONES TO DO THE VOTING.
The Brownlow and the Magarey get it preety right as did the umpires in the GSFL
Follett was deserving, Portlock was close, Carners played well, Saunders
OK. Lovey polled well and could have just as easily got over the lineThe reserves medal was well deserved. U/17 and 14 were well deserved.
Sure we may have seen it different.
BY THE WAY JUST BECAUSE A SIDE WINS BY MORE THAN TWENTY GOALS DOES NOT MEAN THEY SHOULD GET 1,2 AND 3 BEST
IF THE CHB FOR THE LOSING SIDE TOOK 12 MARKS AND HIS PLAYER DID NOT GET A KICK....SURELY HE SHOULD GET A VOTE

LEAVE THE VOTING TO THE UMPIRES

I know an A grade player who got a one match suspension back in the mid nineties for saying 'd1ckhead' under his breath as he ran away from a boundary umpire. The whole tribunal set-up was a joke but they said they needed to send a message to everyone that abuse of umpires will not be tolerated. Wonder if that is the case in 2008? (or maybe umpire Blinky was a bit sensitive?)
