Congrats simmo on winning mail medal :D

For those interested Chris Khonke had kicked 50 goals with 4 rounds left and finished on roughly 60 goals for the year.

Who is Simmo???
Is Chris the lad that won the Snr colts leading goal kicker? The league still has alot to answer for regaurding not being able to say how many goals were kicked or who the runners up where and how far behind they finished!

Simmo = Simon Pistilli

And yes Chris did win the senior colts leading goal kicker. I think there were a game or two where he kicked up to 8 goals.

O:)

I think the Goals would have been very close and I am asking the league for a copy of the results. Because he kicked 8 once or twice doesnt really matter too much, at the Saints we had 3 players kick 9 or more in a game.

khonke kicked bags of 3s n 4s week in week out only not being on the scorers list in about 2-3 games for the year
was very consistent

I think that if the GSFL could not 'produce' the exact results on the night then clubs have every right to ask for a copy of the results.... but do you think they will give them to you TW??

Hi Eagles#4,

I don't think there's any doubt that Kohnke did get the highest goal kicker and well deserved as obviously you saw him week in week out kick these goals..... but I do think the league should produce the results... for several reasons... one being so that he himself knows that he won fair and square etc, etc... and also so that the other clubs know too.

He was consistant and has had a good year, I am not saying he was not the leading goal kicker but it would be good to see how many he bagged and who else was close.
When you play sides like Yank and Victor its easy to see how bags are kicked, we had a onballer kick 9 in a half and drag himself to play A grade that day.
Mum I dont think they will supply us with the list, the club them selves have not asked for it I have personally so not sure if that will make a difference.

It's awkward for Chris too... because people/team mates obviously are impressed that he's won.... and so they ask him how many he kicked, and who was second... and how many did they kick etc, etc... and of course he doesn't know either. So does take away from his great achievement as well.

A shame really.

But I would be 99.9% certain that league officials would have deliberately set us aside at the back. Personally if the U15 association coach was there and had to make a speech I would have set his table up in a convinient location. But thats what we love at the Saints. The challenge of not only the opposition but league officials as well. Keep it coming its been happening for years and will continue to happen so its no point banging our heads against the brick wall! ](*,)

By the way happy to take on board all positive and negative feedback after Saturday's final at Goolwa. You cant get better without feedback. As a special treat, all footy forum users will receive 1 free beer, wine or soft drink from me, when I am at the Bar working. Intorduce yourself using your forum name to receive this benefit.

I will make sure I come up and say hello LF. :partyman:

JJ I think Creek should hold their heads high after monday night, they are a very professional club and set a high standard that others in the GSFL need to work towards. You have to love the way the president (Gordy) strols around making sure everything runs smooth and things are taken care of, its great to see. What is his occupation limb?

Gordy is an Insurance Broker.
Teamwork, u r spot on in your assessment of him, has done a great job as President for the last 6 years i think but has indicated that he is stepping down from the job at the end of this season. Big shoes to fill and the rumour is Roger Follett may be taking over.

This weeks tips.
Saturday
'A' Grade - Willunga by 3 goals only (The Creeks are confident of Knocking Willunga off and the game will be much closer than most people think)
'B' Grade - Strath by 2 goals
S.C. - Compass by 1 Goal AGAIN.
J.C. ???

Sunday
'A' Grade - Strath by 3 Goals
'B' Grade - Creeks by 3 Goals
S.C. - Creeks by 8 points
J.C. - ??????

Good Luck ALL Teams except any club with Red + White as their colours.
