im on a strict no alcohol policy to... albeit out of my control, but still hopefully it helps me be more modest for 2 more games, and have that finger used more often than in lesbian porn[/quote]
The big 37, welcome about time, did you bring the darts?

Have just heard Greenacres have sought or may seek advice on 'home team and right to host finals' apparently SAAFL officials meet prior to medal count last night and agree that the rule is a 'gray area' but they will enforce the so called intention of the rule.....another fine mess MS

They were beaten on that ground 2 weeks ago. Good luck to them.

Can they be any more technical turk? Surely everyone knows if you lose a Qualifying Final you can't host the prelim. The game is Loser of 2nd Semi vs Winner of 1st Semi. Grey area or not, surely common sense would prevail. Plympton earned the right to host when they won two weeks back.

Pag,Bulldog..I have no problem with the concept you talk about ..the trouble is the SAAFL rule book doesn't say it..they had problems last year and supposedly fixed the rule but 'apparently' not..there are people in SAAFL getting 100k to have this stuff right and its not happening (the SAAFL website is another example)..these same people who get it wrong repeatedly are about to be reappointed and IMO will contiue to make these stuff ups...if this happened in private industry the board and member (us) would have them out in a flash

I don't think it does happen like that in the AFL. Whoever in the top 4 loses, still hosts a "home final". Say if the Crows had finished 4th and lost to Geelong, they would have played their next game at AAMI stadium I think...?

correct but we are talking about prelim finals. If geelong lost to the crows or saints this weekend, then if they won the semi, they wouldnt be the home team the following week in the prelim which is the same principle with Greenacres in this case.

it cant make that much difference for us can it... its div 5.... neither reserve team will have home ground advantage.. so whos that gonna benefit?

its not like we have 70,000 rocking up to every game anyway

greenies lost to plympton at home, so it proves anyone can win anywhere..

Agree Johnno, does a team not need to win the Grand Final at a neutral ground anyway??

Might as well play away from home and try and get your supporters to come and support you there. You will need to do it in the end anyway.

Ahh, I see. Greenies should be pushing for a neutral ground I reckon. No doubt Plympton would be comfortable playing at Greenacres again, having already won there only 2 weeks ago.

Very unfortunate for the great man. Apparently Gekko's broken wrist came from punching the ground after missing a goal!

But I'm sure if there's a spot in Div 4 up for grabs team would rather play at home than anywhere else...
