Easy mistake to make BB08...someone really should have given their parents one of those baby name books...not too original the ol Pedler first names...

The two umpires that umpired the B Grade at Mypo on the weekend were terrible. They were terrible during the year and surely the umpire co-ordinator knows that and knows they shouldn;t be umpiring a crucial game like a 2nd semi final. Then to make matters worse they had three of the better umpires in the RMFL running the boundary. Surely umpiring is not a caper of giving everyone a go come finals time no matter how good or bad they are. There are some good umpires in the RMFL and surely they should be getting a lot of the finals, even if they had one good one and one of the not so good ones would be better than what was dished up in the B Grade on Saturday.

also noticed that umpires were umpiring their 'own clubs' on sat- life members and current coaches in both 17s and b grade. surely in finals they can get 'neutral' umps.
it is unfair on the umps to have to do it as well, as the crowd and players are likely to get into them, regardless of if they are biased or not in their decision making - which you hope isnt the case...

Thats interesting!!! Hadn't heard that 1 yet. Massive loss for the Tigers if true BB08

Sorry got the wrong Pedler not George it is Joe. But still a big loss for the Tigers

I've actually heard from someone in the know that there's a good chance both are likely to be travelling next year, so if that eventuates, big loss for the Tigers.

Any truth to the rumour Sam Mahoney may need a knee reconstruction?
He done it in the 2nd qtr but played on, they had no-one left on the interchange to replace him apparently.
I didn't know he was that tough!

Let's just say that this "chook dad" would want to keep his mouth shut when it comes to abusing other players or his sons may pay the price for his pathetic weak comments!

Continuously abusing talented players for the opposing team is a sign of weakness. Do you disagree?

Very strong words indeed, I know Mick has a fair bit to say but I know sitting on the hill at imps we always have a fair bit to say back. It's usually a bit of fun.

Does it upset you that much that an opposition supporter has a bit to say. Use it as motivation to play better! Runnin around makin his sons 'pay for it' sounds to me like maybe its working and ur off ur game!!

You're right - his sons won't pay for it as they can't help their old man's bad manners - it's just a shame their dad gets a touch personal with his words at times

I think the best thing you can do is get a heap of kicks and damage them that way. Shuts them up pretty quickly when the scoreboard is doing the talking for you.

SD when are you likely to line up against the O'Neil brothers again? Are you still a chance to do this next week?

The problem with this is that a lot of the umpires come from clubs and if they are the better umpires then this club always gets stuck with the terrible umpires comes finals. Also what if they make the grand final and the best umpire in the league is originally from that club should they not be able to umpire the GF because of this. I trust that the umpires will never ever be biased toward their old club.
