A Grade: RAMBLERS d Imperials
Ramblers just used the ball much much better, and had bigger options up foward, in the off season Imps will HAVE to recruit another Brad Sheill
and Ramblers just keep doing what there doing they will just have to rock up on Grand Final day, i think we might see these 2 sides again in 2 weeks will Imperials loosing by around 9 goals will Ryan Edwards and Nick Stephens missing they didnt have big people to feel these gaps either and Tommy Hines beeing injured, but Ramblers have had a perler of a season and are miles ahead of everyone else.
Ramblers by 9 goals
B Grade: MANNUM d Imperials
These 2 teams have been the real power houses of B grade this yr, but today was a diffrent story for the boys wearing blue they had a very slow start and that really mannum take the chocolates at the end of the day. Mannum played some great football and would have to be strong favourites for Back 2 Back premiers, these 2 teams WILL meet again on grand final day, unless something weird happens and Imps lose next weekend.
Mannum by 4 goals
U17s: IMPERIALS d Jervois
Re-Match of 2006 grand final, same ground just new players and today the Imperial lads played the best football i have seen an Under 17s team play in alot of years, this was by far one of the stand out games of the year "in any grade", Jervois just didnt look switch from the start they had a strong brezze and they didnt use it to there Advantage, Imperials dont worry about recruits work on these lads there is TONs of potential, it is disapointing only 2 see that 2 of these players played A grade this yr, but they shud take the Grand Final unless they Choke.
Imperials by 10 goals
U15s: MANNUM d Ramblers
See Saw game here with Mannum taking it right to Ramblers from the get go, with a quick goal in the first 20 seconds, then Ramblers clicked and powered ahead to be up a quarter time, then mannum started strong again with a quick goal, but then again ramblers had the answers for the rest of the quarter, only to end up disapointed at the end of the game losing by around 1 goal.
Mannum by 1 goal

Bluds went down today  .Trev Rigney kicked 6 and it can now be revealed he has been playing with fractured rib and a ruptured tendon in his finger..... gutsy effort from yodik. Injuries cost the bluds any chance they had of premiership glory in 2008.

Go the great man for the mail medal monday night!!

Mypo Beat Jervois in the A Grade by about 5 goals

Ramblers beat Mypo in the B Garde by about 9 goals

Don't know about U17's but Imps beat Tailem in the u/15's and apparently one of the biggest all in brawls seen with parents and coaches involved.

Meaning Games this weekend at Imps are:

A Grade
Imps v Mypo
B Grade
Imps v Ramblers
U/17
Jervois v ??
U/15
Imps v Ramblers

It's just going to be like an imps home game this week, home changerooms and 3 out of the 4 grades playing.

Puckerdige did a knee this year and the specialist told him he would be out of footy for two years so how could he possibly be going home next year to play footy if he is unable to play footy at all? Also Josh and Brady Charles both seem very happy at Imperials they stay back at the club most Saturday nights and get a long pretty well with most blokes, so don't know why they would leave.

Yes very true Puckridge is out running on it and everything and its about 2 months since it happen, that is great signs normally you wont get to that stage untill about week 16-18. And i havent heard anything on Hodge sorry guys i guess we will just have 2 c if he lines up for the rest of the yr.

He may be running on it but turning on it is a different matter. I know when he was the runner he was in absolute agony the next day. He is a pretty good clubman and maybe imps should offer him a coaching role to try and keep him here.

You a True Blue Imperial are ya mate?

Saw the Bluds vs Mypo game yesterday. After Jervois were about 4 goals up in the 2nd qtr, Mypo came out after the break and kicked about 6-7 unanswered which ended the game. The Bluds had nothing left on the bench for most of the 2nd half, and some blokes were playing on one leg, but taking nothing away from Mypo who were the better team on the day. I hope they can make the big one. Imps will go a long way to winning this week by manning up on Pedler...didnt see him have many contested possessions all day. Pretty clean game except for the big fella for Mypo (? #25) who didnt see much of the footy, but gave away more free kicks than he had possessions. Hard to believe players of that quality, or lack thereof, actually get paid. Hard to see anyone beating Ramblers in two weeks time.

Ramblers were very good on Saturday and I agree either Imps or Mypo will struggle to beat them. Mypo has beaten them once and got close once but I believe Luke Button or Mousey were not playing. These two have to be the two of if not the two best players in the league. They have great hands and are so athletic, I'm not sure there is anyway any team can stop them short of begging Sturt to take them back.

Should be an intersting weekend but I (as biased as I am) believe all three imps teams playing will go through.

So 4 Imps teams in the grand final and winning Under 12's that would be a great season, haha,
win a couple in the grand final sounds good aswell.

Disapointing i didnt catch the juniors fight on the weekend, woulda been good 2 see, taliem are always dirty and imps dont have a good record with them this yr, if ur saying the 15s was a big fight, dunno if you saw the Under 17s game mid way thru the yr, Imps under 17s play with a far bit of Pride and Flare, they wont take shit.
U17s - Imps vs Taliem (rd 12) biggest juniors fight i have ever seen, we had players assaulting umpires and water boys in on the fight. all at 3qt time

ah and by the way it is Jervois vs Ramblers in 17s Ramblers beat Mannum

Sorry GWW not sure of his name. Would be 110kg+ and played around CHF, think he was number 24 or 25. Heard he came to Mypo from Woodville?

His name is Brendan Corrie.

You sense there will be some changes in personnel at the Bluds in 2009. Names that will stay or leave are already being mentioned. The number of changes could depend on one or two players. If these players stay then others will stay with them, but if they leave it could see the depth of the Bluds tested.

It would be a good season but it happened last year as well (we had three though not four) and didn't win one. Then again a few years ago down at Meningie when we had 4 grades in and didn't win one. Nothing but a couple of Premierships would make this year a good year. I personally am sick and tired of losing Grand Finals.

As I have also heard, it was a very prominent Imperial junior who started the fight, someone who has also played a major role in the U/17's this year. Imperials are very lucky he didn't get any cards.

I did see that fight yes, it wasn't really anyone assaulting an umpire the umpire gave a player a card and he hit his hand away. I think the fight down and Meningie in the U/17's was bigger after one Imperial player was king hit behind play.

Yeah very disappointing end to the season for the Bluds. Talking to some of the players a lot of them are keen to play on again next year with some big names mentioned that may come up to join the Bluds but as Dutchy said Sam has a bit of work to do to keep the core group together.
