Suggestions for new TV show to watch

Postby Wedgie » Wed Jun 21, 2006 5:53 pm

I watch TV shows on the PC or on my phone so I tend to watch series from start to finish in a matter of weeks.
I'm after a show that's had at least 1 season shown already and I've already watched every episode of of every season of Battlestart Galactica, Trailer Park Boys, Desperate Housewives, Lost and Prison Break.
Any suggestions?
Currently I'm leaning towards The Sopranos as I've never watched an episode yet (always thought it was a show about singers when it first came on! )

If you can start at season 1 of Sopranos and watch all 6 seasons, you will not be disappointed. I have just finished watching season 6 (finished in the US about 2-3 weeks ago). A show that lives up to all the accolades it has received IMHO.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Highly recommended and worth watching for Lewis Black alone. Repeats coming soon to the Comedy ( ) Channel on Foxtel.

Wedgie, "Sopranos" is excellent. Must see the episode where one of the mobsters spends the night in a New Jersey forest. Been told "Curb your Enthusiasm" is good but have yet to catch up with that one.

i'm a huge fan of the West Wing.

Best written and acted show on TV.

Foxtel has just started repeating again from series one.

Remember the Electric Blue Videos from the 80s? Surely one of the tv stations can buy the rights to show these on late night tv. What about SBS once the World cup is over??

It was 2 of the mobsters. Paulie and Christopher. "The Russian" episode. Classic. Theyre are some awesome quotes from that episode but i cant remember them.

Can't blame Nine for that one, though.

David Chase took his time to write the final series.

Best eps tend to be the one's where somebody dies, especially Pussy and Adriana.

Have heard that Paulie goes ape sh!t in series 6.

Can't wait!

Paulie certainly outdoes himself in s6 - but the series in general is a lot slower than normal, plenty of preparation for the final series going on here. Well worth watching.
