Not that lad from grade 2 ? Virginia is it ? If so he is ordinary....will be lucky to play C grade.
So you have faced him? He is quick and can move the ball with good control from what i have witnessed.

That would be Seccafien I'd imagine, unless you faced him last year, you wouldn't know Rolls. I faced him the year before and seen him last season, huge improvement, he's only young so he'll probably continue to improve.

Saw him last season in the ATCA vs PDCA turf game as my mates were playing for the turf side. If people think he is quick then goodness me. Yeah he shapes them away a bit but from memory got hit around.

I'll stand by what I said.....C grade at best.

PS. You've easily got him covered in the pace department Col

You lose one major weapon as a fast bowler playing on most of Adelaide's decks when you go from hard wicket to turf, there's only a few pitches around where you can get a good short pitched ball in after an hour or so, well that was the case in when I was playing district.

He may of had a big night beforehand, the game would've been on a sunday hey, still no excuses though when you're a young fella, just adds a bit of venom. Who were the other bowlers?

Handsy opened with him. Ordinary attack compared to previous years.

It's become a chore IMO, should revert back to the 90's, a few weeks of practice, one game, a few beers together after the game, great fun. prior to that we used to have an annual game against a Riverland side, bus trip, great day. It sounds like the CUSA Cup has nearly ran it's race anyway, I don't think it's happening this year.

Bats 11 and had 4 overs as 4th change bowler....but yep, happy to eat humble pie.

Just goes to show how well Port are travelling (although they lost Staunton). Or is that just the standard of A grade district cricket now ?

Yeah, hardly a great opportunity, it's a start I guess, as long as he can be patient.

As for the standard, I guess time will tell.
