Not that lad from grade 2 ? Virginia is it ? If so he is ordinary....will be lucky to play C grade.
So you have faced him? He is quick and can move the ball with good control from what i have witnessed.

Put a redbacks shirt on him then if he can do all that!!!!

That would be Seccafien I'd imagine, unless you faced him last year, you wouldn't know Rolls. I faced him the year before and seen him last season, huge improvement, he's only young so he'll probably continue to improve.

The young 'record breaker' quick is over rated. Para Districts Grade 2 was the worst standard it had been for years in 2007-08. He looks unfit and i would like to see how he went in Grade 1 Para Districts before going into SACA Grade Cricket. Would struggle in the C Grade competition down there.

That is a fair analysis there B&S as far as the div. 2 standard and liking to see him play div. 1 before going to SACA, I think C grade district is not much chop though, I reckon he'd clean up in C grade, having said that, it isn't too easy going from hard wicket to SACA, there aren't many pitches around that offer too much for a fast bowler, the 4 piece balls dont swing as much and the seam stays flatter.

So he is coming from playing hard wicket and with a 2 piece and expected to play higher than D grade hahaha But Port Adelaide arnt really strong so he may get a crack up the grades.

We get some fringe A Grade players, a few B Grade and some C Graders drop back into our comp when the Jets have a bye or a wash-out, they certainly don't shine in the PDCA when they play, Mark Hanson is the only one who performs well when he drops back. I've seen some of the players that play C Grade district, they wouldn't be shoe ins for our grade 5 team from last year.

Now i seriously doubt any fringe A grade or B graders would step foot onto hard wicket..... you cant tell me players like mossy, burgy, the pacoes etc would. maybe some younger guys that say they play higher might.

Admitted some C grade cricket it average but that is because there are to many clubs and to many teams....

Mossy did play a game of Grade 2 last season, he scored 8 for memory, Huitema plays at every opportunity for Craigmore, I can't recall seeing him set the world on fire in the PDCA, I can recall him playing a Grade 8 game a couple of years back with no success.

Perhaps the SACA should look at replacing Grade club cricket with the PDCA. it's obviously a very hot competition.

Seriously, if the lad from PDCA is any good, he'd play higher than C grade at Port. I saw Port C grade almost out righted in a one day game played under 2 day rules last season.

B & S, Virginia was the stand out side in grade 2 PDCA, just look at the points! They doubled the nearest teams points  IF you truly love your cricket you would encourage youngsters to try their luck! I would think :?

Sounds like your a big fan of 'the young quick' and know him quite well.
Virginia would not of made the finals in PDCA Division 1 last season.
Either way Virginia will really struggle without him then!

looks like kensies will be hard to beat if herb elliot is playing at parkinson oval this season, will be a strong lineup with brown, elliot, waugh, cleary and possibly one of the new saca inclusions. any thoughts lads?

Cleary should be playing minimum games for the browns this year. He should be spending most of it in a red cap.........

as for Dean Waugh is he playing at all this year?

I'd have to disagree with you there mate in regards to playing finals in div. 1 last year, they would've been equal, if not better than Brahma, they had a few very handy all-rounders. I do think they'll struggle if the young fella goes to the Jets though, he may aswell go while he's still young.

I'd go into it a bit further but it's not the right thread, I think there's two or three batsmen better than him in the side.

Saw him last season in the ATCA vs PDCA turf game as my mates were playing for the turf side. If people think he is quick then goodness me. Yeah he shapes them away a bit but from memory got hit around.

I'll stand by what I said.....C grade at best.

PS. You've easily got him covered in the pace department Col
