Ditto

From the camera shots we got of the race he looked a fair bit taller than the other competitors and seemed to have a lot more upper body muscle. I'm hoping that's due to a new style of training that's really paying off rather than anything else.

Regards
JAS

He's 6'5'' and is clearly, supremely athletic.
Sprinters often have quite strong upper bodies.

Eased up tremendously in the 200 m heat just held.
Just "jogged" the last 50 m.

Fair enough but, as an example, when they showed him amongst the others after the race yesterday his biceps looked huge in comparison and I think most of the others were under 6ft so maybe we're seeing a total rethink in what is considered the ideal body size/shape. Whatever it is I can't wait for the 200m final...

Wed Aug 20 22:20 (Beijing time) Men's 200m Final

That's about 2350 for Adelaide and 1420 for me :D

Thanks...that's a lovely clip...it's the nice kind of astonishment.

To give you an idea...Johnson is watching the race on a monitor while the camera is watching him. His expression is totally blank, just staring at the monitor and presumably, as Bolts lead legthens and he crosses the line, Johnsons face lights up with a huge smile and he starts shaking his arms like an over excited kid that is too excited to do anything....do you know what I mean...wants to jump and laugh and cheer but doesn't know what to do first....very sweet

Regards
JAS

Hang on...try this...til the BBC find out  it's the same clip

Another sensational performance =D>

He was interviewed after a heat the other night and said he wasn't worried about the WR.
He clearly wanted it though as ran the race right to the line this time.

2nd place Martina now also disqualified.

Both found guilty of stepping out of their lanes.

Result now...

1st Bolt
daylight
2nd Crawford USA
3rd Dix USA

Michael Johnson's genuine delight at Bolt's win was also great to see.
