Quite funny there LF as i had just written a comment regarding the clubs not all having the Creek changerooms, or the Goolwa surface!

I think the GF should be played on the best ground each year. I understand the rotating to make it all fair and just but it needs to be played at the best ground possible. They dont rotate the AFL GF, they play it at the best stadium available!

There are a few contenders but each one has its downfall. Weve all had our say on best oval/facilities and thats what the GF should be based on. Canteen takings etc should be given to a different club etc. The last 4 years they have rotated there are no issues with any of the grounds but I'd say Strath takes it out as the best GF oval. The ground is in good nick come GF day, the facitilies are as good as anyones on the whole (away rooms are not too bad). If the GF was to be played there every year im sure the players would not object.

i agree but the only problem is if Strath play in the grand final its not really fair that it is at there home ground, so maybe have one back up ground for these years if it was too happen, what do you think bj would it bother you guys playing strath at strath in the gf

Agreed. Needs to be a back up as i dont think a side deserves home ground advantage unless theyve earnt it eg. Strath win through to the 2nd semi and then win that therefore earning the right to host the GF. I prefer the neutral grounds as each side seems to have a fair shot at winning.

Which ground would you have as the back up? Id lean towards Goolwa altho the facilities are average. Could we have a GF at Langhorne Creek, is it any different to having it at Yank, which i also rank as a great deck and if it werent for the away rooms would get my vote without a doubt. In saying all this give us an oval to play on in a GF and i, along with any player, would give anything to play there on the big day!

Willunga medal invites are Hams for the goalkicking (obviously), Steele, Portlock, Genovese and Carnevale. Im not sure how they work out who to invite but with 4 invited i would say the votes are too spread out just there not counting in other players able to poll votes aswell.

My top 3 would be Eagleton, Love and Maxfield with Duffield as a smoky.

In the Junior Colts Reid and Williamson both play 17s. From willunga Renney and Best would be the 2 going and would be a good show at winning i would think.

I cant say i disagree with any of these Kappars.

Follett always attracts votes and Hams has kicked over 100 so you would think he should poll well.

As for Snr Colts. Well Luke Cousins is always under the umpires nose and is a good player. Fry is falashy and really fast, and Ziggy is an awesome player. I reckon the Senior Colts is going to be very interesting.

Junior Colts:

Balas (McL)
Hobben (Yank)
Lawson (Saints)
Stanton-George (MC)
Sewell (VH)

the list goes on. plenty of chances in the juniors but balas for mine is the clear standout. he has at least 6 v Saints.

The Snr colts will be very interesting, Cousins started the season late so that will hurt him alot. Fry has missed a few games due to family reasons I believe and Ziggy has played every game so he should be in with a good chance. Ken Campbell (Saints) would be a shoe in if he played more games, he has only played 7 games and missed the last 4 in a row I am told he will pole well and is a huge reason Saints will miss finals. After speaking with different people all top 7 sides in the colts have 4 or 5 players they think will pole well so it could go to anyone.

Sorry mate i dont. It was a passing comment as i was leaving training.

My guesses would be Dave Carnevale and Dale Anderson. Could be very different as there are a lot of guys that play well, just depends who the umpires pick on the day. Will find out tomorrow night!

Always polls well but hes missed a fair few games this year. As i said there are so many players that could poll votes. Very even B grade team this year so tough to pick and i doubt the winner will come from Willunga in either of the top 2 grades.

I agree that the Willunga votes will be spread amongst the team in the A and B Grade but when you're getting the 1, 2 & 3 almost every week you're bound to be around the mark.

Yeah nah, it's the flashy fend off, backspin priouette, 1 bounce, 2 bounce, sell some candy and then kick the goal from sixty on the left type players that attract the votes. Not the committed tagger/back pocket types.

He was given 14 weeks, 7 weeks for each strike that connected the tribunal took into account the evidence provided and injury recived from the incident. He was given maximum penalty as their was a communication fault between the club and coach/player so no one fronted up for the tribunal.
