Hectorville, what happened?? Not a good time of year to be falling off the mark. Was anyone at the game? Were Heccies bad or TOS good? Heard mention a few pages back that Heccies might have been playing for a home final. Surely that would have to be rubbish.
I think they will bounce back this weekend though and kick-off Lockleys end of year partying.

Im with Browny and wish good luck to those people playing in finals. It will be interesting to see how the results of the first round of finals go when we return!

Quichey sorry to hear bout your lads on the weekend, what was the mood like down at houghton saturday night? somber no doubt.....in a positive St Paul's are keen to be reunited with you :)

Also I know it's early but will Brahma Lodge have enough to fill 2 sides next year in Div 7?

Definitely rubbish. No side would deliberatley give up the double chance just to get a home final. Not when it means playing a dangerous opponent like lockleys in an elimination final.

6 months is a long time in footy...

I think we will be right! Otherwise I'll be the good old scholar that I am and play for St Pauls!

You blokes are still a chance of staying in div 6 anyway, aren't you? I guess it depends on who makes the Div 7 GF and whether they want to come up (talking about Henley and Athelstone C grade teams). I know there was mention on here that Athelstone weren't to keen on the idea if they made the Div 7 GF...

Here are my thoughts:

WOS - "Should" go all the way finally, easily the most discipline team we played.
CLG - Would think that they will make the GF.
HOPE VALLEY - Will be very competitive but cant see them going too far.
LOCKLEYS - The dark horse for me, could beat either WOS or CLG on their day. They will make the prelim...
HECCIES - Making up the numbers I'm afraid, but could scare either Lockleys are HV.

Yeah for sure, and that would be the best thing for the club if we managed to stay up in Div 6.

I honestly predict a differnt "Lodge" next year :D

If this happens it will be a disgrace! If you're good enough to play in a GF in Div 7 you're good enough to play in Div 6....don't care if it's C's, D's, E's or F's FFS!

Pretty despondant after the game, but we'll move on from it and the lads will stick together. Lots of work to be done behind the scenes now.

Looks like you got part of your wish zedman

I remember a few years back Adelaide Uni made the Div6 A Grade Grand Final but chose to stay in Div 6 rather than go up, so it can definately happen. A couple years later they ended up going down to Div 7 so maybe it was a good choice.

I honestly think that besides Paralowie being a shoe in coming up from Div 7, either Mitchell Park or Henley will meet Paralowie in the final and you cant see either of those staying down.

You can choose not to go up for one season - if you win the next season however you must go up. Can only refuse to go up one year only. Think they're scared.
