what a day at harpers field yesterday. terrible conditions but their lads played them much better than ours. could a final be played there if there is more rain in the next two weeks.

geez mitchell was fired up yesterday, funny bloke. loves to get the verbal going.

I like to think that a final will be played there.
We will be wanting it there thats for sure.
Have to remember that the oval is used in some capacity every day. Our groundstaff will be doing all it can to ensure it is respectable for our game in a fortnight. Will be a triple header that day im guessing as the a's, b's and c's all finished top.

Mitch is great. Passion personified.
Really got the boys going. I thought our efforts in the third were excellent. So much so that was told by one of the players after the game that they heard your coach yell out at one point 'why arent we tackling like that'

.Much respect to the blacks boys. Although we dont like you, we do respect you. All except Spry. Cheap Cheap shot on seaton in the last quarter. The boys were talking about it after the game and wished they had the oppurtunity to level him/the ledger.

 Hook line sinker  Good fun fishing for dragons.

All in good fun there sport. Dont have to get to touchy.

In all seriousness though, the weight of personal expectation would be just as harsh as anything external at the moment. Good luck next week. Should make for interesting viewing

BB.. when fishing you might just catch and old boot..and you've heard the joke about the one armed fisherman

Look forward to having you there next week..maybe you will learn more this time than Anzac Day...feel free to have a steak sanga and a beer at our well appointed Barbie Van and attend the 1/4 and 3/4 time huddles.

Yes i know the joke about the one armed fisherman.
Unfortunatley after the div 6 GF we are more familiar with the one that got away.
Having said that, we endeavour to be as ruthless captain ahab in our quest for this white whale. With some experience on our side, hopefully we do not meet a similar demise.

cheers for though offer turk. The a-grade boys will have trained that morning so if it is anything like last year, the club will throw on some subway and powerade. Beer??? Not at this time of year.

Not sure if we will get to involved with the breaks but im sure a few of the boys will be armed with pad and pen.

White hat anyone?

difficult to separate golden grove and greenacres. my money in all honesty would be on greenacres but not sure about the injury situation there.

plympton last 4 weeks have been good, averge margin 100ish but to sides out of the 5. lost to us, greenacres and golden grove and beat smithfield in the 2nd half of year, not sure really about them.
smithfield other than last week against greenacres have been pretty solid over last 5 or so weeks. will be a hard running and tackling opponent.
bos will do it tough from 5th but you've got to be in it to win it. need some dryer conditions in my humble opinion.

home finals will be very advantageous. whoever wins the qualifying final take your flippers to harpers field if it rains in the next two weeks.

Hi LM..yeah thanks..boys played well in the b's..good finish for them..best of luck to you guys this week mate..give them hell

the A grade was a struggle all day with both teams not very interested..3rd quarter we held greenies goaless till they got one after the siren so we will hang our hat on that quarter :)

turk: hope you enjoyed the bbq mate..and props to your boys for hanging around after the game..perham was fantastic in the backlines for you guys..our full forward from last year who didnt play this year was watching the game..he kicked 13 on perham last year at hicks park..how quickly things can change eh ? :)

hounds: only 2 goals for the whole day eh..maybe the karma has started already??..we got 7 goals when we played out there and the writer said if we can only score 7 goals we should be in div 6..where should you guys be then? LMAO.. i hope you see the funny side of that hounds..the wheel always turns and every dog has his day..he who laughs last..laughs longest :D

Zed, how come the full forward didn't play this year and will he be back next year?

What are the Kookas going to do to rebuild in div 6 to work their way back up?

ozzy osborn had a year off to concentrate on work..played 2 games actually but was only helping out and was unfit etc

demon, its still very early after the end of the year..but..our juniors will be the driving force for us returning to div 5 in 1-2 years, our u/17s are a good bunch and we have a strong u/15s group coming through as well..plus we will only field 2 teams not 3 imo so the better C grade players will have to put their hands up for B or A grade games..this will strengthen the B grade immensely..we will recruit certain players heavily, and look to get back/return to club of at least 5-6 top line A graders..last time we went up to div 5 we did it with a team built on sand, a few left and it all fell apart..when we return it will be with a team built from bricks..a solid foundation to build upon..not a cyclical group but sustainable growth..oh..and pray a real lot :D

Zed.. good luck over the summer with your efforts to rebuild..did enjoy the BBQ there on saturday. you were right about both teams attitude as there was not a lot to play for, but it gave us a chance to play some u18 kids in our A's to see how they handled themselves...Perham is a good reliable player but has missed a few games this year , good time of the year for him to get a bit of touch back. About time you got some nets at the northern end of the ground..it'll save us old blokes!!

We have a fair amount of respect for Plympton and expect a hard game on Saturday..we will have to watch Jim Smith.

Heard today that Rosies are stacking the B grade.. any truth??
