Yeah, its going to be a particularly interesting finals series. One more minor round to go, but from what i can tell the finals program is already established, with Jervois and Imps and Mannum and Mypo in the Elimination. The Roos and Tigers game should be very interesting, the loser will be particularly unfortunate given the form of these 2 clubs over the last month.

Ramblers will be big favourites, and the week off will help them in good stead. The main question to be decided though is how will they handle favouritism.

Yeah can't be on here as much as I used to be guys!
I think it might have been a bit of over confidence to be honest. We had a 4 goal lead going into half time but didn't come out ready after the break. Mannum just rolled over the top of us in the the third and fourth as WOW said, were simply too good on the day.

This week's games, the last round before finals:

Meningie vs Mannum - the Roos will havea training run before finals, and will be looking at hitting top form. The Bears will be wanting to minimise the damage and get within 15 goals. Mannum 91-100

Mypolonga vs Ramblers - this should be a particularly interesting clash. Mypo will want to show the other clubs they're a contender, whilst Ramblers will want to demonstrate why they've been the top side all year. If its wet, Mypo will be a chance, but i think the Chooks can win 21-30.

Jervois vs Imperials - according to the Imps website, Harrowfield got another yellow card on Saturday so will be be having a week off this week, so the Blues will go in as fairly big underdogs. Their form has been very poor the last month, and i dont think they will be able to get over the Bloods who will want to make up for their loss against Mannum. Jervois 21-30.

One game left in finals and it seems that the 5 have already been set. Imps will play the Bluds two weeks in a row and Mannum will play Mypo. Bugger this week, who's going to win the week after!!!

The question must be asked has the bluds got the hunger and desire to have a real go in this years finals. To reach there full potential. On paper they have a list as good as the pace setters RAMBLERS but are far short from playing there best footy . the other sides have closed the gap if they think its just going to fall into place there dreaming ,the past has always looked after its self ,can they do it?

Looking at the scores from Saturday, some interesting results, and makes me wonder whether or not a couple of clubs rested some key players for the finals - especially Ramblers, with no Morris or Girardi named in best players or goalkickers (if they're actually injured and out for any of the Chooks' finals, will be a big loss). And also Mannum "only" defeating Mannum by 7 goals.

So first week of finals this week, should be 2 interesting games.

QUALIFYING FINAL - Jervois v Imps - Imps have have had a horrible last month, but are always capable of an upset, but they'd probably need all their best players back in to have any hope this week. With Harrowfield presumably back, they'll probably fancy their chances, but i think Jervois' finals experience from last 4 years may get them over the line, 9 points.

ELIMINATION FINAL - Mypo v Mannum - this is a really difficult match to predict, and who ever loses will be devastated because both clubs would probably consider themselves a chance to make it through to the grand final if they win this week. Mypo's record in Elimination finals the last few years has been terrible, and they won't want to choke again this year against the Roos who have been in great form the last few weeks. Mannum could arguably go in as favourites, but i think Mypo may just get over the line, 15 points.
