SOO 2006

Any other sports

Postby Wedgie » Sat Jun 10, 2006 9:58 pm

I haven't heard a name of 99% of international teams, ie Brazil, Germany, England, etc in the World Cup, they just go by the name of their country just like most teams/sports do.
Congrats offensive_Line, most ridiculous post or attempt of making a point ever.

Mr Wedgie,

I am a Roosters fan, hence I know who you are.

Remember this was a SOO thread and others have come in here and thrown out some burley. I have stated it is your origins. I love all sport and if you read back, it was two other individuals that stirred the pot.

Great win by the roosters, Good comedy by Jars after the game,

Hopefully weathers will be back soon, and Ryswyk get's to use the mirror in the bathroon at least once a week!

WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE INTERNATIONAL AFL TEAM, I HAVEN"T HEARD OF IT!!!!

The Galahs.

Ya flamin' galah!

(Harry Beitzel's 1968 Australian team to tour Ireland was nicknamed the Galah's).

NRL Footy show

A boring piece of ka-ka!

Except for the five minutes every week or so when Reg Reagan runs amok.

And as for rugby league being an international game, ROFLMAO!

Is that why the league World Cup fields teams from Lebanon and Italy etc with NRL players?

Just one more thing...

QUEENSLANDER!

QUEEEEENSSSLANDERRRRRR!!!

Scoreboard flattered the cockroaches in the end: 30-6 but could have been more.

Gotta give credit where it's due though - NSW did score.

Only took 137 minutes.

But they finally did score.

Great crowd of 52,000 in Qld, it'll take more than the World Cup to kill off League!

LOL@off!

Game three is being played at Docklands, is it not?

Took me by surprise when they showed it at the end of last night's coverage - just assumed it would be at the MCG again.

Danny Buderus' comments took me even more by surprise, saying that the Blues started looking to the third game when they got 20 points down.

WTF?

Great crowd of 52,000 in Qld, it'll take more than the World Cup to kill off League!

Suncorp will be a World Cup venue one day!

Ohhhhh yeaaaahhhhhhh!!!

QUEENSLANDER!!!

One of the greatest origin wins.

That dirty cheating video ref - Graham West, I think his name is - should never officiate another NRL match again.

Never!

He is a disgrace!

Lockyer rose to the occassion like the champ he is.

Tate had a great game.

And even though some of his Cowboys team-mates might not like him ay the moment, Thurston turned it on in the last 20 minutes.

QUEENSLANDER!!!

You appear to be a one eyed Port supporter Mp, and love your aussie rules, yet obviously enjoy Rugby League and appear to strongly support Queensland. I'm not having a go at you, but how does that come about? I would have thought if you spent some time in Qld you'd be a Lions supporter, or if you were an South Australian through and through you wouldnt have much interest in League? Maybe you're just going for the underdog (Queensland)?

Sorry if i'm being nosy, i'm just curious.

G-Dub - I am South Australian through and through but have lived on the East Coast for almost seven years now. As you might expect, AFL (as they call it over here) fans are few and far between, so if you want to talk 'footy,' you talk league.

Having said that, I've loved Origin ever since Nine started showing live telecasts into SA in the '80s.

I go for Queensland simply because I identify them with SA. Both states suffered at the hands of a richer, more powerful cousin - the NSWRL plundered the Queensland first grade much in the same way that the VFL plundered the SANFL.

For some reason, my support of Queensland drives my NSW mates nuts - they just can't get their heads around it.

There's no doubt that I've come to appreciate league a lot more over the years. So much so, that I reakon Joey Johns is the most dominant footballer - out of ALL the codes - that I have ever seen.
