spot on eski i agree with him too. you have to be serious about playing footy to get anywhere and it does start in the change rooms and preparing yourself. Im pretty sure the aussie swimming team didnt **** around before their final race and prepared themselves properly.
he other thing bluey was right about is we do have a good coach that knows the game and great leaders in brett and troy and some people should take what they say seriously and take note because they just dont know how lucky we are to have them as part of our club. im sure every club in lincoln wouldnt say no to them if they wanted to join another team.

No club turns players away.

So it takes a serve in the media for the players to listen. WTF?" is the coach not getting through? maybe he could publish his pre-match speach in blueys coloum too.

For once MP you make some sence Bluey is a tosser

So who is the only person that does it correct ?(95% = 19 players)
Everyone prepaires differently for a game, when the first ball is bounced are you thinking about the changerooms 20 mins earlier? NO

its about getting in the right frame of mind for when you cross that white line. If you prepare differently then that fine but dont dissrupt the team that is trying to get serious before the game. Ive seen some guys like to sit down quietly and think about the game ahead and others like to move the ball around and then others are joking around right up to when the coach has his say and as bluey said its up to some of the other players to tell them to pull their heads in and switch on. We are there cos we want to be and its a team game and its a time to get seious and get out there and win. If your only out there for a kick and a catch and dont care about winning then why be there.

Unless something out the blue comes up will be involved with Tigers next year. I am hopeing to be spending time with the junior grades as thats where I see club strength to be built from.

Coaching A grade = No

I know the feeling... Last couple of years there's been a few guys who like to 'bump' each other around in the change rooms to get motivated... hardly able to move when we get onto the ground, because everyone wanted to 'bump' me...
Saw an Ipod used pre-match for the first time this year...
Surely they would've been playing eye of the tiger...

Just went down to centenary and had a look at the oval. Still pretty wet and very uneven. I know the PLFL are having trouble getting the PLCC to do much there. Really needs a roll and there are about half a dozen sticky areas (including the new pitch) which require some urgent attention. Would be very surprised if it is right for the last round and will struggle to stand up during the major round. With Ravendale in shocking order at present, could Poole oval be the host for some or all of the PLFL 2008 Finals series??

That is the dream...
Would it be the second best oval in town?

 you would not believe how close that is to what it was like last saturday! Once moment in the last quarter i tackled KW in the goal square and we both just had to come up laughing because it was quite similar to that image. Seems like a good bloke that KW does.

Well the Field Days are over and it was good to get a good night's sleep last night

MP - what would be the best oval in town if Poole is the 2nd best

Pretty important round of footy again this weekend particularly for Bostons and Tasmans.
Can we break the ice against the tigers at Poole ? - of course we can. Waybacks to win over Tassies and MP too strong for LS
To me, and most others I would suppose, Bostons to get into the finals at the expense of Tasmans.
That being the case I reckon MR will have a point to prove against B in the 1st semi as if I recall correctly, the last time these 2 met in a 1st semi, Bostons won.

Ah don't us older fellas remember the mud heaps we used to play on. When I worked in Adelaide I got to play on Blackwood Oval ( the old one not the current one). It was soooo cold and wet and the whole oval was mud which wouldn't have been too bad if the mud didn't stink to the high heavens and stick like glue
