This weeks games:

Match of the Round
Peake v Pinnaroo. A virtual final for these two clubs fighting it out for the last finals place. They are on the same amount of wins with Peake having a slight advantage percentage wise, but Pinnaroo are still to play Karoonda this round which should be a win for them. Peake won this game by 1 point last time, and will be advantaged by playing on their home postage stamp, oops, I mean oval. Peake by 10-20 points.

Lameroo v Karoonda. Lameroo will have too much class for Karoonda and will win by plenty.

BDT v Murrayville. Murrayville face another must win game if they want to sneak into the top 2. BDT will be fired up after losing to the Dogs last time but, having already stitched up a top two finish, don't have as much to play for. The Bulldogs in a close one.

Mid Murray has voted not to fold. So where does that leave the Mallee Football League and its plans for the future?

would that be Sh!t Creek? Surley there are other possibilities that haven't yet been explored... Is Mid Murray our only option? IMO they would not be strong enough anyways.

Can anyone tell me how David Ness is going for Pinnaroo.
I reckon I saw his name in the best players a couple of times.

Pinnaroo Football Club is looking for a playing coach from the Riverland for the 2009 season. This position would be with an eye on the Pinnaroo and Murrayville football clubs joining forces to put a combined team in the RFL for the 2010 season.

i would say murrayville would want to be its own identity for as long as possible. 2010 merger with pinnaroo is highly unlikely!!!

MB - that rumour came from someone in Pinnaroo, who's actually involved with the club.
Murrayville may want to hold on to its identity, which is fair enough, but it's an interesting proposal yeah?
