The Bays have had a very good month and to play the Demons on the side of a hill is always tough.
Were you at full strength Cuzzy?

The bays do match up reasonably against Willunga and i was surprised with the result...although sometimes the scoreboard does not reflect the way the game went
What was your view Cuzzy

The seven foot yeti didn't show up did he?

There were 5,000 people down at Goolwa looking for the yeti in the cold and wet. According to locals the Yeti has been forced out of his natural enviroment due to the river levels falling.

Victor result was very dissappointing

we were not at full strenght had two players play who had already played that day, and had about 3 blokes out that should return this week hopefully. Two other players played with injury but not gonna mention them as they will most likley play again this week and that would be giving strath the edge. It was just one of those games, bays just didnt really get into it and were very patchy. It was very interesting to see strath vs victor scoreline though didnt expect that but talking to a few victor lads last week they had no depth left and most of them only played last week as it was agaisnt the bays so maybe they had a few blokes out.

In the b grade it was interesting to see that the only losing team that kicked a goal was Yank.

Can someone help me out as to where finals will be this year?

Are there any teams that might get lucky with a home final?

The Senior Colts last 2 rounds will be very interesting. i have never seen such a close bunch of teams. Would be great to see the senior competition like this!!!!

There won't be any A Grade teams playing a home final. For each final there is a backup ground nominated which will be used in the event of the host club playing in the A Grade that day.

Pretty sure grand final is set to be played at Mt Compass this year providing Compass are not in it of course. Great venue for the crowd given the grand stand and parking around the higher parts of the oval but the playing surface and hill leaves a bit to be desired.

Will be an Absolute Joke if the GF is played at Compass, The ground is simply NOT up to scratch for a GF. i'm all for sharing the Minor finals around all grounds But surely the GF has to be played on the leagues BEST Surface.
Goolwa, E.Bay, Victor (although wasn't great a few weeks ago i was there) and even Yank if its not wet.

Hey Cuzzy have you been drinking again GF at Mt.Compass good for spectators about it.Surely the league needs to play this somewhere else,I reckon Goolwa,Victor,Yank,McLaren Vale or have to say against my will the Bay are worthy of a GF depending on condition of oval. Why not play it Pongy, apparently theyve cut a heap of trees down to build a massive grandstand.Oh well where ever it is unless the 1956 flood of the murray happens i dont think anyone will beat the demon outfit.Cuzzy Bays have slipped out on centrebet to50/1 Bet your spewing about investing at 15/1 last week such is life. pongy might not be such a silly idea given that it will have a month to recuperate before the gf. can't see compass oval improving with teams training on it during the finals series.

I have heard some clubs have banned their teams from training on the grounds and Compass is one of them.

PONGY OVAL WOULD NEED A FAIR BIT OF WORK ON IT TO GET IT AT A PLAYABLE STANDARD COME FINALS TIME. Also no more rain for rest of month would help, but highly unlikely. Was a horrendous day down there on saturday, but i was dissapointed though, i was expecting some snow!! :D Jelom you are getting funnier with every post, saw a nice one on the christies forum

Pongy's oval was a disgrace on the weekend reminds me of the finals in 2001, there's no need to worry bout the oval holding up due to training, pongy's and training?? yeah right  !! But to the Mclaren reserves side especially that bald bloke surely your slides in the mud could have waited till then end of the game not 3/4 time grow up mate!!

Wher would Compasss train in lead up to finals? Is there a gym or a school ground where they would go? Would definately need lights though. This would hamper there finals aspirations severely i would think!

The Compass oval is the school oval, the school has a gym that they would be able to use but they would still want at least one session on the oval a week you would imagine.

What about Pongy, surely they would be going no where near their oval after the weekend? Can jelom shed any light on the idea as to where they would train, or if they would train for the remainder of the season?
