Ant, bailey a smoky? i would have thought maxfield would get more votes i think could be interesting come end of the year i did some research and i reckon eagleton could poll a few and watch out for the umpire friendly baxter(he's on their payroll more votes umps more bucks)i wonder what BJ has to say about it?Also hamsey might get a few votes E.Scnieder from mclaren was listed as a smoky by King Kenas the other day pheraps trifecta 3way tie hams scnieder(LF how do i spell that name)and bailey intersting few weeks. As for games coming up i reckon there is a few upsets on the cards could really shape the 5 :D

Bailey has only been out of clubs top 5 once this year, and would have been best at least 6 of those... I new Hamsey would get mentioned, but if any club is going to be sharing the votes around it will be willunga. The next few weeks will be interesting for compass, they definetly have a bit of fire in the belly after last weeks 1 goal loss but haven't made the venture to 'final town' easy for themselves...

And one other thing Jelom you didn't and can't upset me. I can handle that department by putting in sub-standard performances each and every Saturday, but thanks for your concern. Can't wait for Bassani's new show but I have heard that Kutcher and Bas have had a few runs ins over who gets the biggest dressing room and best hair stylist!

Sorry LF put my foot in that one, so do you reckon the season for all 9 clubs is shot or is there another twist come finals strath seem to be plodding along not getting much interest i remember everyone thinking that the creek were a shoe in come both A andB grade last year, im going to put my head on the line and declare an upset maybe the creek can use the shirts they had made up last year just put 08 on them or strath can use the ones they had made up in 03 im sure they could make an 8 out of that.See what happens.where is teff and cuzzy too pissed to get on the computer?BJ what do you think?

Dont wanna get ahead of our selves but the bays looked bloody good on sat. Interesting to see compass loose to yank, they didnt play that badly agaisnt the bay two weeks ago, admitidly they didnt have burdet but they seemed to lack a lot of speed and chase around the ground. Would much rather boot it long an rely on a small amount of blokes to do all the work. Who knows what could happen this week maybe the bays will keep the roll rolling and knock off willunga at willunga. Maybe goolwa will knock off Compass but i highly doubt it after loosing to McLaren vale. I expected more off goolwa. I did hear a rumour that an x bays player playing at goolwa has been chasing mobile numbers of x bays players that are currently playing in adelaide to recruit at goolwa for next year.

Also did hear again on the weekend, Barry not at willunga next year, returning home wherever home is didnt hear the end of the convo.

The Mail Medal will be a good count, Eagleton and Love to fight it out. I cant comment with a lot of knowledge as i only players once or twice a year. Bailey has been consistently in the bests but is a backman, however does get a lot of the footy so is a definite chance. Maxfield, Burdett to steal votes from him and each other. I think we have too many players capable of attracting votes but Baxter always polls well, Hamsy has 100 goals already, Genovese and Carnevale are very capable of polling votes and in the end will probably all end up on 10-15 each. Steele is the one that surprises me with how little he polls, he dominates each and every week in the ruck!

Dont think Mclarens have won enough games for Elliot Schneider to win it. (however Whitbourne, Micky Conlans mate, won it in 97 when his team was losing by 40+ every week).

Interesting there cuzzy. An ex-bay player now at Goolwa (would have to be Dycer or Jared) chasing numbers of other ex-bay players that are playing in Adelaide. I cant think of any, but we have a list of about 45 possibilities at this stage so there could be a Bay player amongst them. Can you clarify? Are we talking Bays as in Encounter Bay or possibly Bays as in Glenelg and Yeomans' contacts?

I Dont think Elliot will be even in the top 10 will he, apart from being one of the only current players wearing a helmet he does not stand out at all.
Funny you mention David Whibourne BJ he would have to be the only bloke that has won a mail medal playing a full season in sand shoes!!

Cuzzy the bays past two weeks results have been impressive to say the least!! =D> =D>
I can remember the last time bays beat Willunga under the guidence of Linton Bishop what a great win that was and it would be an even better win if you were able to get over them this week!! I dont like your chances and I think Willunga will win by 10 goal + but good luck!!

Cant disclose names at this stage Jelom because to be honest I have no idea. With the points system in place I think there will a big emaphasis on maintaining the current list. Ex Goolwa / Port Elliot juniors would also be targeted I would say. Would be nice to get Sam and Alex Jones back on track, the Fox boys, Max McCardle, Bilney, McKinlay.

Mckinlay is playin for victor im not real flash on the points system but i think ex juniors are 1 point but if he plays for another "A" grade in same league will he incur more points?i know the idea of the system is to work with what you have(which is great)and have a minimal amount of recruits with there points dropping off the more seasons they play fill me in LF.

I was talking about Hayden McKinlay more than anything, but you summarised the system in a nut shell. The more ex-juniors we get the better beacuse we need more depth. With the guys we picked up this year we can probably go for 2 recruits so the 1 pointers will be a bonus.

Don't know how many times you have to be told Cuzzy, but Mclaren Districts Eagles and not Mclaren vale Eagles. There are two clubs involved, located at Mclaren Vale.So can you refer to us as Mclarens as everyone else does on this forum!!

How many games have you seen Mclarens play this year. All but the last few Eliot has been an absolute standout. Under the noses of the umpires all day, plus kicking a few goals, plus always picking up possesions down back. The dude is a fitness freak and goes hard all day. Probably the only player to stand out all year in Mclarens team. I think you saying he won't be in the top 10 is a bit of a rough call on the young fella. :o

Great news for Grape Ape and his bunch of merry men. The alco pop tax looks like it will be lifted. Not only will they be able to drink cruisers with pride, they'll be able to do it at an affordable price.

I have seen a few games mate and when you put it that way your right with his work rate being so high and in the middle under the nose of umps all day. I just dont think he will be that high in the count, he was rewarded with a late call up into the assosiation game though so well done for that.
I know its a bit late and off topic but after having a look around GSFL.com.au I found under News a notices the Player Points System and it show each new players value at all clubs not sure how long it has been up for.

That is good news, knowing Grape Ape well he certainly does love his Cruisers, Breezers and Red Bears. GA was following Hamsy end to end on Saturday but in a different capacity and was off the breezers and on the powerade and H2O instead.

Eliot is very hard at it, fit and a good quality player. His side hasnt had a good enough season i dont feel to win the medal, if they finish strong he may come home with a wet sail, if anything a lot of 1 votes for him and the late call up to association was deserved, shouldnt have missed the side in the 1st place.
