Another lbw! Kallis is fuming, had huge words at Davis I think, but it hit him in line, below stump height.

This is extremely tense stuff, I do like the one dayers, but these sort of battles are confined to the original format of the game, and can be on a knife edge for so long. Panesar is being a bit boisterous with his appealing, it just adds to the drama.

There seems to be some controversy about batsmen losing sight of the ball from one end.

Does seem that way, with Kallis and the other player going LBW just turning their heads away.

Will Kallis be fined for dissent?
He seemed pretty angry at the decision.

I think he will be fined, what he did was not savoury by any means. Ok, he may not have seen it, but the decision was spot on. You can't do anything about it - just accept it.

There has been quite a discussion about Flintoff being the only bowler to cause this problem.

Just over halfway there, and this Test in my opinion has been restored to a knife edge with this partnership.

Still a very tense match, a suicidal run/missed run out, one that just caught the glove but no serious appeal (Dar gave it nout out), then Strauss in the deep just couldn't get to it.

South Africa Home by 5 wickets. Smith was 154 no and Boucher was 45 no in the end.

RJ Sidebottom 10 overs 0/26
JM Anderson 13 overs 1/60
MS Panesar 33 overs 2/91
A Flintoff 20 overs 2/72
KP Pietersen 4 overs 0/16

Hmmm would have thrown sidebottom the ball perhaps a little more. In my opinon have James Anderson bowling 13 overs was probably a waste as I think sidebottom is a much more damaging bowler.

Oh well I guess Monty and Flintoff just ran out of puff.

I was hoping that the match would go into a 5th day due to light, cause it went a bit late for me. ;) It was a really good last day, full of tension and drama.

just read Michael Vaughan has retired

thinks it will add a few years to his career to just focus on batting and he has many runs still in him

May have been a different outcome to the result of the 3rd test had the review system thingy been in place like the recent Sri Lanka v India test as there were a number of decisions that would surely have been given OUT had their been a video review of decisions in Sth Africas 2nd inngs.

oh well england can't complain about that it was them who refused to have the technology used. im surpirised flintoff didnt bowl more knee high full tosses as they were clearly the balls that werent visable to the batsmen
