As a bit of an outsider but knowing ppl from both Encounter Bay and Victor I think the excitement around this game this weekend is awesome. Its going to be a great contest even without some big names, with both sides playing for the obvious this is what Footy is about. I miss having something to look forward to come September. I reckon the Bays by 10 points, but if Reeves is on it'll be even closer again.

How are you coping BJ is it ok that everyone else is focussing on that game and not how much Willunga will win by?

Haskett will miss a couple i believe and Wadewitz is good to go but i will find out more tonight im sure.

Think 5 to come back that were missing from last weeks side.

Rodney, its more than ok and it will be a huge game down there, both sides playing for the finals chances and i just realised they are on the same amount of wins and .1% between them.

Enc Bay have Willunga, Strath and Saints to come after this week.
Victor have Strath, Yank and Compass to come after this week.

Both sides with similar runs home so this week is so vital to their chances!

Its great to see the old rivalry have alot on the line and no doubt the crowd will come out to see a great game, both sides have their fair share of players who can get caught up in the moment and show a lot of passion. No doubt the umpires will be busy all day and the crowd will be extreamly vocal, someone should video tape the game so the tribunal have video evidence.

Boys my palms are sweating! I am salavating at the contest this weekend!

BJ all of my master moves are made from the bar - grabbing beers when your three deep whilst not taking your eyes off the footy is no easy task.

Big question mark over the ins and outs for both sides - the Bays could make as many as 6 changes to the side that beat Compass.

If bays do make alot of changes one would have to question, why make so many changes to a side that beat a top 5 side? The old saying why change something that works??
Obviously you have one out due to injury and Heuskes is a walk up starter but you would try not make too many changes I would think, Bas will have a few big calls to make tonight!!!

Like Kappars said don't make any changes while everything is working, so please don't train and stay away!

How are everyone's ovals faring after the recent weather. I don't think I've seen Langhorne Creek Oval in a worse condition that it is at the moment. The cricket pitch is just a mud pit and the rest of the oval was cut to pieces after training last night. Hopefully some sunshine today will dry it out a bit.

Interesting to hear that limb as the Creek is usually (always) in great nick.

Willunga Oval is in great shape. Still firm under foot and not boggy in any spots. One of the advantages of having an oval on a hill!

Obviously 99% of everyones attention is on the Victor V Bay game and also the Willunga V Creek will attract a little but what everyones tip for what could be the battle for the wooden spoon, Saints V Mclarens. I am tipping Saints by 5 goal!

Yeah I will say Saints but who will stand the young lad from McLaren - number 20 is it? He can kick the footy a mile, is quick and leads hard - he's not afraid to leave the fifty to have a shot either? Jarred will not catch him - maybe Dycer?

Bays in Heuskes, S.Baggs, Horrocks, Weedinhoffer
Outs Littley, Medlin, Kenny, Sumner

Goolwa Oval is struggling, she just doesn't get enough rest these days. Sunday the only rest day and the surface is feeling the pinch. Having said that someone, 132 years ago was smart enough to build the oval on a flat piece if land which is a bonus.

My Tips
Compass 20 points
Willunga 60+
Bays 12 points
Strath 60+
Saints 30
You can love football, but it wont always love you back!
