Talking of umpires, we all know umpires make mistakes but none of us would be playing footy with out them.
Bugger of a job if you ask me.
I think the problem is bigger with club umpires, I rekon some of them are to scared of their clubs to yellow or red card their own players.
An incident between Berri & Loxton North B Grade a couple of weeks ago was a good example. L/N guy could have easily ended up with a serious neck injury.
Happen only a few meters and directly in front of the Berri umpire. Nothing reported.

youre all full of crap and whoever is spreading this sort of $hit deserves a kick in the nuts, ive played several seasons with this bloke and IMHO hes one of the hardest but fairest blokes that ive played footy with, he always hits up hard and sometimes in the heat of the game hitting up hard against some oppositions is taken as being dirty (head high hits occasionally happen accidentally, weve all copped them and all given them out). next person who hears this sort of bullplop, do me a favour tell whoever is telling you theyre a wanker with no idea.

on a lighter note my tip for the weekend, for the front 9 of the barmera golf course about 55 shots for me and about a dozen beers.

Yep they've been successful, but 'great' i dont know.
Loxton North's 1997 to 2000 - that's a great era.

We all know paid players have been a big part of Waikerie's success. They've had heaps of them for years and years (when did they last miss the finals?). Its part of their culture
