About suspended players... I think the rule for those that got done by SAAFL for "life" applies if they have completed serving the no. of games suspended for...but I dont think the units bloke has which means he cannot coach or be on the park in ANY official capacity...Yes he head butted one of our blokes in 07 div 5 with the ball 150m away got 9 wks I think, came back and was in the plympton fight and got a very heavy sentance, which I dont think would have finished and if thats the case he cant do anything...not even run water..

Zed...you blokes might have some ammo..shouldn't be hard to check ..depend if you want it to get ugly

This sort of bloke is the very reason that SAAFL introduced the life ban...but if it means he can still be an official then the rules a joke..he is dangerous in any capacity
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

many different slants on this situation but i am sure we will check it out correctly..it appears he got 12 games about rd 14 to 15 last year which in turn is now life..but he would have served 12 games numerically by now..so if panthergurl is right and he can do other roles but not play then maybe he is "legal" but the rule is being mocked slightly

Surely if your out then your out. Just to clarify something if he has been given life does that mean he can still play in another league?

12 games for breaking a jaw we had a bloke get 15 for abusing a club umpire..I agree with a penalty for umpire abuse but i feel they need to reset the scales a bit

The reserves top 5 seems to be set now, the only chance Smithfield, Ingle Farm or Greenies have is if one of them win all 3 and BOS lose all 3, go Kenilworth, hopefully they can knock them off, we play BOS this week at home.

I can't believe the inconsistency of this years reserves, floggings all round, seems like home ground advantages are huge, I wonder why? Plympton flogged us and were easily beaten by Greenies, We flogged Elizabeth who then beat Greenies, We have travelled poorly this year, maybe we need to fly over the night before instead of on match day.

Round 16 Games

Smithfield vs Blackfriars: I can't see the hounds getting back this week after their shock loss to IF, Panthers by 10 goals
Rosewater vs Elizabeth: Rosies by 3 goals, the eagles will put up a good fight once again
Golden Grove vs Kenilworth: Sorry Zed, huge task away in the battle of the kookaburra's, big margin.
Central Utd vs Plympton: Plympton by 8 goals, the units will push them.
Greenacres vs Ingle Farm: Greenies to make amends for the round 7 loss, 12 goals.

no need for sorry LM..im picking GG by 12 +..we have the shotgun ready for scudds and a water cannon for the rest

is it better to finish 4th or 3rd..i think 4th..gets ya home final and you dont have to play greenies or gg in their home final and come off sore and wounded

We play Greenies up there next week so I'll tell after that, I would be thinking 3rd, it would be a huge pyschologic advantage beating either of them on their deck, we went pretty good at GG last time with an undermanned side. We got beaten by Plympton in the 1st semi last year at home, I like Malcolm Blight's comment on travelling back in 97 "What's the difference, there's 4 white posts up each end of the oval".

Our player was told that he was free to play in any other league and that they encouraged players to do that

Gotta get behind my team Sprinter, nothing against you guys but I doubt whether any of your players have played on Smithfield Oval, Rosies at Rosies was a hard gig. The Famers, I hope you're right.
