Mythical Creature wrote:Gday guys. We had a Jason Creek from Salisbury West come out to training last night apparently interested in having a game (Not sure why as its past June 30). Is it true that he has been suspended for 32 weeks in the last 18 months  .

Just curious as to what he is like, and how bad was/is he to get suspended for that long that often.

Thanks guys.

I'm not going to post anything from a personal point of view, what I am about to give you is fact.

Fact: Jason Creek has been banned for life from the SAAFL as has 1 of his brothers (or 2). After the 2005 GF he was banned for the whole 2006 season. In 2007 he had played no more than 5 games before being suspended again for another 10 or 12 weeks, and I think was suspended again in the final against Walkerville. The record speaks for itself

Now, Mythical Creature, tell me, based on the above, you think you'll take the chance ? I would suggest that he wouldn't be able to play in any other league either with a life ban? Not sure how that works.

I'm told Salis West copped another big fine this week plus a suspended amount for the next 15 months. They seem to be able to keep coming up with the money so maybe they've got a fairy at the bottom of their garden too!

My sincere apologies to Salis West, the above info relates to Smithfield, bad boys evidently, Match Day official and other issues cost them $1100.00 or near plus a 15 months Suspended fine. Hope the fairy travels that far north.

You still can't get it right, TTG & Smithfield copped fines for a melee in an Under 18's match & Smithfield copped a fine for not having a match day official. If you don't know what you're on about, you should shut up, all you ever do is worry about other clubs misdemeanours and you struggle to get your facts right.

I can't believe you tipped Para Hills. I think Iggies are a far better side and the loss of big mouth Carlo hasn't hurt them at all. Rolfe is on fire at the moment.

Why do you want Salisbury to beat SPOC? Is it just because SPOCs are spoilt little twats?

Yeah id rather see salisbury stay up than spoc, especially if they are going to open up the cheque book next year.

I rate Para Hills Highly. both times they have been competive against us and iggies havent been at all.

SPOC v Salisbury - Couple of important ones out this week but so have they I think
Kilburn v Salisbury West - Easily
Walkerville v Woodville South - Easily
Flinders Park v Eastern Park - By a couple. Haven't thought that highly of Flinders Park both times
Para Hills v Old Ignatians - With Shrek here, Para Hills aren't that good. Iggies were very clean and get a good spread from everyone, plus Rolfe.

We need to win this week and snare one more to give ourselves a chance to stay up, but still very possible.

Cantwell definitely a chance for the medal, as is Cattermole. Think too many Eastern Park guys will take votes off each other (Gatto, Walasek, Paul, Hamilton etc).

Shrek, just wondering where Harradine, Stengle and Coleman are this week? Not interstate by any chance are they? You might have the small, crumbing forward role. A bag of 5 or 6 isn't out of the question for your good self.

Its funny how sides have travelled against different sides. No-one rates Para Hills but they were good against us, i dont rate iggies that much (other than rolfe) but you blokes do. Interesting that Flinders haven't impressed you Pag, some of their results, particularly lately, havent been that impressive.

I think Walkies and kilburn will be particularly dangerous come finals time. Both are inconsistent but great when on.

Ha ha, 2 minutes into the game and well on the way to a bag of 8 or more I was forced back to the backline by an injury.

Just when I think I'm smarter than boozehound, Para Hills go and beat Iggies.

Can't see Para Hills making the five though. They have FP, Walkies and SPOC, whereas Iggies have Salis., SW and us which is an easier run on paper.

Well done boozehound on beating FP. Looking forward to the weekend in which SAfooty bragging rights will be determined against the ranga in baby blue and the breast feeding full forward from EP.

Cheers it was a top game and a very sweet win.

What the hell does the rest of your post mean about bragging rights??? Am I the only one not to get it?

Bold prediction here.....Para Hills to make five, Para hills and Walkies to knock off Flinders leaving the five looking like this....

Eastern Park
Walkerville
Flinders
Kilburn
Para Hills

Its gonna be a tight finals series.....

Great win by Parahills FC, Dominated play all day.ParaHills had winners all over ground. Why old iggies played Romeo on Flynn and had loose man in defence all day, Great decision by their coach. Dissapointing loss Pag Div 4 2009 for Salisbury. Don't think you boys will win another game.

Was a disappointing loss when your 4-5 goals up in the second quarter. Some guy called Cantwell played at full-forward in the second half and went OK.

You don't have to pretend to be sympathetic mate, if you're from Para Hills I'm sure it breaks your heart to see us go down. Will be disappointing not to play Daisy and the boys again next year though, if indeed we do go down. Always good fun.

But yeah, Romeo on Flynn is interesting, thought they would've gone with Tyson?

Not sure if Para Hills will make the five though, percentage is poor compared to the rest. Can't see them beating Walkerville or Flinders Park and one win from the last three isn't gonna be enough I don't think.

Just meant we're playing Salisbury and EP in the next two weeks and those two teams include the most prominent div 3 posters.

I saw the first half, which was pretty tight and you lot only broke away part way through the 2nd really... what I was most interested in, was the way Carey conducts his quarter time activities.
He speaks very well too(or was he being good for the camera  )

Yeah he has a very good footy brain and is comfortable in front of the group. Would have to be the coach of the year in our league for sure. Has taken a side that didn't play finals to where we are now. Doesn't have the resources or budget of most other clubs either which is a credit to himself and his assistant...:)

IMO I think our pressure on the ball carrier was match winning and something that flinders didn't handle that well. When our pressure dropped off, they worked their way back in. It's good as a footy side that we have our destiny in our own hands in that if we come with the right intesity and frame of mind, we win.

Suck suck suck boozehound. Are you trying to make sure you keep your spot if you guys make the GF this year(sorry, couldn't help myself)?

Coach of the year is an interesting call. Surely this award couldn't be given until the end of the year. Coaching requires planning for the home and away rounds and finals. Being minor premiers doesn't mean much for the coach unless he can back it up during finals.

Is anyone brave enough to make a call on worst coach of the year? Suggestions other than Fabian Francis please.
