Cap't..interesting post..yes i think the five year lease statement is correct..dont know about the Prospect council stuff... I thought Norths had just spent a small bucket full on change rooms, treatment rooms and the like and have started or about to start improvements to the function rooms under the stand.. seems strange to do that and then shift out to Grand Junction Rd...but it seems strange that they want to develop GJR and not get some benifit themselves... may have done you an injustice Capt maybe your using telegrams rather than the pony express
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

Turk, they tried to shift as many games as they could this season to Adelaide oval. Ever since the fence came down and they have to train through dog sh#t, no one has been happy there.
With all respect mate, cyberspace is my go and as I stated before, we'll wait and see Eh! When it happens, I'll look you up for a beer, but where will I look??? Relocation, relocation, relocation!!!

Rosewater vs Smithfield: will be to experienced playing down there
Elizabeth vs Greenacres: too much at stake
Cent. Utd. vs Kenilworth: United not enough players to fill both sides but at least they had a crack all day until the 8th quarter came for the 4/5 blokes who played both games.
Ingle Farm vs Blackfriars: upset on the cards here struggling hounds need to get it together
Plympton vs Golden Grove: Plympton have to try and grab this one somehow for a double chance.

Considering our very good record at Central United I have never played an easy game out there and I don't think it will change this week. A couple of weeks ago I snuck down for a peek against Ingle Farm and if they took their chances and did'nt lose the plot in the last quater they could have easily won by 3-4 goals. Mind you if Ingles kicked straight during a 5 minute period the game was well and truly over. I wouldnt have mind if we kept our 9 goal lead over Ingle Farm, you just never know if that percentage comes in handy. :?

When the PAE council did the "bail out" of clubs in their areas a few years back, my understanding is that all leases became 5 years only. NAFC gives $50K per year to Greenies to I think you'll find. They want the whole area for their own club, they've had a gutsful of the Prospect council. I am not saying to play games but as a major training facility, i doubt there's room for an SAAFL club when that happens. :(

Correct a mundo.

For anyone that gives a "rat's tossbag" about the reserves, if Smithfield, Farmers & Greenacres get over the line this week, the ladder will look like the following.

Grovers.......30
Red Dogs.....20
Rosies.........17
Friars..........16
Elizabeth......16
Farmers.......16
Smithies.......15
Greenies.......14
K'worth.........6
Units............0

It would have to be the closest comp in the amateur league ATM. All the suggested results are very possible.

I'm too blue and white to tip against us, I might lose my job as a magnetic board holder-upperer at qtr time. I don't want to put the mockers on us.

Playing in the magoos through out the year and the teams I have played I must say probably the team that impressed me the most was Greenacres at Greenacres. We easily had the best team we had all year and we both played out a belter of a game and since then they have gone on to beat everyone bar Golden Grove. Mind you i did not play against GG but from what i have heard they are sure things for the flag. 1 or 2 blokes I talk to say they are the best reserves team they have seen in d5 or 6 in a very long time...... Still I would not rate the reserves comp compared to last year, probably go as far as saying the comp in the A's is not overall as strong as last year either (Apart from GG and Greenacres)

I reckon they'll fall over. I think Mitcham from a couple of years ago was the best Magoo's in div. 5 for a while. We flogged Greenies at home, Plympton flogged us in round 13 with a crap side, then Greenies beat Plympton in round 14, we have to play good sides each round from here on in, including Greenies.

We were 4 goals down against GG at GG at half time with a weak side, we had no bench from half way through the 3rd qtr and had an injured played sitting in the pocket for the last and went down by 11 goals.

They have an excellent record so far, i just think they'll fall over at the wrong time, they are beatable.

See I rated Para Hills a better side that year that Mitcham went top in the 2's. Greenacres have definatly improved in the 2's, even us when we have had a decent side on the park have been very competative. Just a bit more quality coming down from the a's would be handy  . I read some of the garbage the editor writes on the weekly column. I agree with some things but saying we were lucky to beat an injury depleted rosewater at home in the A's. Fair dinkum does he think we have no injuries?? I could write a f*****g bible with the injury list we have had every week since rd.1. All clubs have injuries, as i said if we avoid relegation this year it would be an acheivement. We had major setbacks involving many quality players during the preseason. I would actually like to see where we would be sitting on the ladder if those players were fit and playing......... :?

Disappointing is the understatement of the year at Rosewater after the weekend. Rosies back at home next three weeks should help our cause.
Early tips this week!

Greenies easy 63 points
2 in a row for the Kookas 27 points
The Blacks 45 points
GG 36 points
Rosies just in what should be a cracker!
