Brad Hodge will stay in Australia to look after his ill wife, Meg so missing the rest of the County season with Lancashire. The County released him immediately, so he can support his wife and son. Lou Vincent will be his replacement for the rest of the season.

VVS Laxman, the Indian batsman, will join Nottinghamshire in August to take Adam Voges' place after David Hussey, the expected replacement, was told to rest by Cricket Australia.
