But i think you will find south will look at him plus one other coach in the GSFL plus another one from the SFL. These are just rumours but if south were to get there men it would be a pretty handy coaching panel with alot of experience.

And just before everyone cracks the jokes which i know you will, No it is not bassani from encounter bay.

I can confirm it's not Bassani.

you would like to think if bazza did leave willungas run at the top would come to an end but with the players they have i think they will still be dominate for a few more years to come.

Speaking of dominating for a few years to come. who are the exciting young senior colts from each club that we can expect to see dominating over the next 10 years. Every club has a few so lets talk about them.

I'm not sure if it was Senior or Junior Colts, but..where does that Simmonds (sp?) lad come from who kicked 10 goals against River Murray League a month or so ago..? Does he play at Willunga or maybe Strath?

He is at Strath he has great aerobic ability and set shot kick but very soft and when his opponent gets the better of him at the start of a game he drops his head, hopefully as he gets a bit older these points can be changed and he will be very handy.
After speaking to a few guys from different clubs and seeing how close the Snr colts comp is (high quality football too) I think most clubs would have 2 or 3 that they hold high hopes for in the near future.

Joel Garrett who has been playing A's for Willunga recently has been very impressive. I've confused him with Mitch Portlock (from a distance) on more than one occasion. Joel has the rare ability to stand up in a tackle and still fire out a handball.

Unfortunately for Willunga Joel is only making a cameo appearance as he is odds on to replace Michael Clark as the Australian cricket captain in about 2014.

Is he the son of the former Strath ruckman/goalkicker of the 1980's, or surname spelt differently?

After looking at the results they are getting in the GSFL they get a reality check most weeks, they dont need to return to the SFL for that. This week if the weather is good they will get a cricket score kicked on them.

P.S. Dont listen to BJ's reply to that, he will come out with something along the lines of
"Both sides will be putting everything on the line this week with both sides hungy for a win in the local derby. Mclaren Vale always apply a lot of preassure all over the ground and we will need to be at our best if we are to get the points."

I didnt say anything at all about the game this week (margin, who would win/lose) other than we are having a past players day and there are a couple of premiership reunions!

Kappars pretty much nailed it tho!

By the way, it's been a good effort from Jase Cowling kicking 39 goals for McLaren so far this year, especially considering how bad their results have been. Who might get the job on him this week BJ?

It has been impressive, he had a run there where i reckon he kicked 20-25 in 4 weeks.

Not sure who would play on him, hes deceptively good overhead but not that big so probably a smaller backman i would think. Probably Radbone depending on where he lines up!

So did you get the low down at training cuzzy.. What was the fall out from all the drama at McLaren?? Did that McLaren supporter that looks like Mr Larson off Happy Gilmore get any action taken against him for belting Owen Love after the game??

If Encounter Bay trully believed they were innocent, then why not show up to the tribunal hearing? The story has been twisted so far out of proportion, there's no point arguing it anymore.
