Bwahahaha. Good ol Tall Jan.

What's going on down at Tigerland CF?
6 losses in a row?
You guys aren't really that bad are you?
Pretty hard to make the finals now, with matches against Renmark and Waikerie in the next two weeks.
Wins to either Loxton North and Barmera-Monash would just about rule you guys out.
Having said that, you do have a good crop of youngsters this year.
Nick Uren will be a big return for the rest of the season.

good question chuck. i have been getting asked it a bit as i make my way around and don't have a ready answer as yet. i think the town is so used to the team at least getting to the finals that a poor run like this is inexcusable to many.
nick uren was a big loss for that mid part of the season, he showed what a crucial player he is to the team last saturday. we haven't yet had a solid four quarter performance all year and have allowed teams to get 4 or 5 quick goals in a row on numerous occasions.
we are a relatively young team, i think i was the oldest player out there for us on the weekend. we haven't been getting a huge turnout at training which probably shows up in games.
jamahl and evans have been big losses, both of them could turn a game and had plenty of experience. but that's enough excuses, we just haven't been good enough i guess. will be a big challenge to try and get a few wins before the end of the season.

Any chance Jamahl and Daniel will return? Although I hope Daniel doesn't. I think its great what he's doing for Wunkar.
And what about Shane Schubert? Did he end up getting the arse from North for that late night drinking?

i think the coach is doing a pretty good job dw. he's kept pretty positive over the last few weeks and i thought his half time address against loxton north helped us get back in the game. he does become one of the lads on a saturday night but i don't think too many players mind that. not sure what other people around the club might think...
i wouldn't think that daniel would come back to the club now. there have been rumours about harry returning but no sign as yet. the latest rumour i have heard (not for newspaper publication!) is that jamahl and lindsay mitchell may want to be joint playing coaches next year. so we'll have to see what pans out.

That would be interesting. I'd heard rumours of Lindsay's interest in coaching previously.

Although J was at Lyrup on Saturday night, the Lions would have been right in his ear ;)

Would be good to see him back playing though - a freak of a player.

On a lighter note....Barring any injury at training tonight, DW and Chuck Norris will be going head-to-head this Saturday at Moorook.
