You should talk to your indigenous player who played for you in the reserves as he actually was the one who called the runner a hairy monkey, the runner never called him a monkey at all.

The reserves player from McLaren was sent off (by one of the fill in umpires who was from Encounter Bay) after sticking up for he's team mates when the Encounter Bay A Grade coach kicked one of the McLaren platers in the head. Their coach also had a bite of one of the McLaren players fingers and also elbowed him in the jaw after completing a fair tackle on him, so you've got a great role model there..

Their players also attempted to eye gouge several McLaren players throughout the game.

After the A grade game several of the Bays players stuck up fingers and were swearing at the crowd which stirred the crowd up.
Whatever happened to winning gracefully ???

Both teams started to walk back to the changerooms and when a couple of things happened the McLaren coaches took their players back onto the for several minutes until everone calmed down.

you either wernt at the game or you were as drunk as the blokes yelling crap from the side lines. The player who got sent off in the reserves threw about 10 punches at the smallest guy on the field who was also hit by the McClaren Vale runner. The McLaren vale runner was also heard yelling monkey taunts at an aborgininal player at 3 quarter time. Talking to the B grade captain who i respect and i know my team respects as one of your best players, dont think he was too happy with your runner or the bloke who got sent off. As for bassani kicking someone pretty sure the scrap started after both blokes were on the ground so not sure how you can kick someone.

as for your crowd, i would be embarrased and shocked if anyone i knew even behaved like that, it looked like something you see on the tv at soccer games from overseas. if your supporters cannot handle the fact that you lost too a better team on the day and your finals chances are pretty much shot its not the bays fault. As for your body gaurd / wanker supporter who likes to punch on after games, i would never let him step foot in my club again

i am not going to argue back and forth, but i will ask what do you think your club will do about the disgusting behaviour from some of your supporters? do you condone this sort of behaviour, do you think its acceptable. Also the player reported for racial abuse after the game how many weeks? Its fair enough to stick up for your team, but tlets be realisitic this is the worst behaviour from a club the league would have seen and if the league acts how they should i would not like to be McLaren Vale football club.

The proof is in the pudding with your club and players being reported. Further more if there was certainly biting and a callous kick to the head I am sure there would've been a report or two atleast after the game? Its hard to take you seriously; what did you expect when your idiot players attempt idiot moves in the bottom of packs and in malees. Please spare me your reply, your club is a disgusting bunch of racist ferals but I am sure that on this occasion the bays coach and players are to be blamed for their actions and that of your clubs actions.....

I agree the guy in question should be dealt with appropriately.

Its a bit hard to be reported by your own umpire..

thanks for talking my mark up Kappars!!! its not every day you get to get the winner. As for the racial taunts against Kilsby, this did occur a few years back out at McLarens. I thinks its been well documented that it was Lootsy. The matter went all the way to the SANFL. Lootsy was remorseful and I cant remember the outcome, but the taunt I beleive allowed Kilsby to avoid a striking charge. Correct me if I wrong.

Toughcall wrote:Sounds like what happened at McLaren Vale on Saturday is the sort of thing we hear about in Southern. It is is terrible and not part of the GSFL. I bet the League put their heads in the sand like they always do when issues are too tough. Racial abuse is intolerable in our society, let alone attacking players as they come off the ground.
Whether you like Bassani or not, he has done well for the Bays this year with the players he has. He is better off not playing reserves, it leaves him open to many cheap shots and there are plenty lining up to give him one.

Toughcall from what I heard, the main person dishing out cheap shots on the day was Bassani in the reserves. If you dish it out first you should expect to get something back in return. I think Cuzzy forgot to mention that Bass got sent off as well, should have definately got red carded and reported, and caused the the punch up where the McLaren player got sent off.

Ofcourse you 'heard' bass was giving them out, your pathetic attempting to get on here and have your say about something you have now admitted to knowing nothing about. Do you actually have anything of value to add?
There were a few fights, wow! There were more than just a couple of cheap shots, excuse me for being old fashioned but sticking your fingers in players mouthes attempting a fish hook is a bit extreme dont you think you bloody half wit? Further more everyone (bar you) has admitted that racial comments in any way are not tolerable nor is spectators approaching players after games. You seem to have a problem with Bassani - line up and take a number as it doesnt seem to phase any of us here so please be man enough to post something worthy in future rather than your little personal agenda.

Counselling and maybe banning the supporter but i'm not sure how the league would go with enforcing a ban on a spectator.

Eagles are you stating that an Indigenous person used a racial taunt that is normally reserved for Indigenous people to taunt a white Australian? I wasn't out there but that is hard to believe fella.

Righto lads u both have differing versions of what happened. Obviously both are biased towards your club being the victim so let it go, there were some unsavoury incidents on the weekend between the 2 sides, lets hope the league deals with it swiftly and the correct punishments (if any) are given out. Sadly with only eyewitness accounts and differing versions i cant see how any further action will be taken at all and it will go away. The racial stuff is concerning however as its widely unacceptable to say anything that racially vilifies another person. Disappointing that this sort of stuff still goes on in this day and age!

yep i am happy to let the league deal with it, providing they do. The leauge will need to set a very strong and stern example of the McLaren vale who was reported for racial comments after the game by the umpires and you would hope that this happens. In other news great to see goolwa on the board again, must be the news of the new stadium inspiring them to get up.

Therein lies the genius of it.

I'm white and I've been called a monkey before for being hairy.
