Don't think they should be reserved mate, I paid via a Debit Card Visa arrangement and the amount has already been deducted from my account

Brad, is that ALL tickets, or just all of the tickets that were allocated for today's cricket family pre-sale?

I think it is all tickets allocated to the Aus. Cricket Family. Good luck trying to get a general public ticket though. I missed out too!
Did get my tickets to the Australia Day ODI. You might want to get in quick for that as well - usually sells out anyway, so with England expect them to go quick!

Fans stumped by ticket fiasco

Enemy at the gates ... Cricket Australia's attempt to keep Ashes tickets out of the hands of English supporters has been branded a failure. AUSTRALIAN cricket fanatics were furious today at failing to secure seats for matches in the upcoming Ashes series, while England fans have snapped up tickets.

Cricket Australia said "unprecedented" demand meant that "systems are sometimes slower than expected" and it understood fans' frustration.
It asked fans to be patient "throughout the day", but that failed to stop some venting their anger over delays and technical problems with the online booking system.

"Someone's head must roll," one irate fan told NEWS.com.au. He failed to secure his preferred option, then recieved an email from England fans who had secured tickets without touble.

John, who has attended the opening day of the Sydney Test with his father for ten years, was "annoyed and disappointed," that he had tried for four hours today without success.

"I tried for four hours for five silver tickets," said John who described the system as too slow.

Would-be buyers said internet connections had timed out after ten minutes, which was not long enough to allow the transcation to take place.
Tickets went on sale this morning to members of the Australian Cricket Family - fans who had previously registered online.

After an hour ticketing agencies reported that they had never experienced such interest in a major event.

CA chief executive James Sutherland said he was surprised at the extent of demand, and counselled patience from fans wanting tickets.

Even though they were selling strongly, tickets still remained available for most match days.

They go on sale to the general public and overseas customers on June 19.

Im from Adelaide - dont get me wrong.
I managed to get tickets to Sat and Sun (6 each) and I also bought 8 x day 1&2 tickets for Melbourne (at ground level).
I sat up at midnight over here in the UK and didnt finish until about 4am.
Last year the Poms did a lucky ballot allocation, where people signed up to a register like the Aust Cricket Family. They then issued all the names a number and did a massive random draw. If your number was chosen, you were able to buy up to 6 tickets I think it was. If your number was chosen and you only bought 1 of 2 tickets, then the remainder were put into a 2nd round allocation and so on.

It made for much easier and less hassle on the day. I know it means some people miss out, but it would at least stop the headf*&king around trying to ring and click refresh all the time.

As im aware there are more tickets on sale June 19, but the Poms who havent already scammed our crappy system are able to purchase the remainders too.

We should be asking for J.Sutherland to resign

I tried a couple of times on the phone at about 10:00 decided to go home at 11:00 to try on my adsl2. Kept on hitting the return key and got through after about 10 minutes. Picked up 4 tickets to the 1st day at Adelaide. In hindsight should have got the max.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Got tickets to the MCG test match day 3, after being on hold for about 58 mins, wanted to get the best seats but had to settle for standard is what they had left. The good thing is that im under cover if it decided to rain, but can't wait for the atmosphere.
