It's not an unfair comment to say that Scott McArdle is hated by nearly everyone on the plains. And you are both probably right. Hated because he was so good & also hated because of the way he's carried himself on the field. I must say that i've known Scott off the field and he can be quite likeable. But i've also witnessed first hand the boof head that is on field Scott & he has certainly not done himself any favours when it comes to respect from opposition players & supporters! Mind you, if you asked him, i'm sure he'd say that he didn't give a rats arse too!! In my opinion, on pure talent & ability to win matches off his on boot, he is the best player i have seen from United.

Nothing wrong with being hated by other clubs anyway. Who gives two sh#ts what other teams think. He was a very handy player, one whom could certainly win a game off his own boot. Having said that he has also lost a few of his own boot too, not so much with his kicking but his undiscipline agression a few times. Like most great players he has arrogance, which is arguably what makes him so damaging. To be a great players, you need arrogance. He obviously got inside your head at some stage for you to hate him so I would have a guess and say they you were thinking about him when you played against him which is why he does it. To throw you off your game. Whilst it has worked many time especially against undiscipline short fused clubs like Balak and Virginia, it has also cost United some big games against teams that he was inaffective against ie Mallala in mid to late 90's. And also like most arrogant great players, scott is a top bloke off the field, its just that most people take his aggression and arrogance on the field too personally. What happens on the field should stay on the field and if you cant draw a line between the two, then you prob aint got toomany mates from other clubs TwoGood4U. A pretty safe bet i would have thought.

MMBB won the final on Sunday against Central by about 10 goals.
South east beat Southern districts pretty easy to finish third over all
Eyre Peninsula knocked off Northern cities in the first game.

THe state squad from memory is ( could be a few missing):
Southern Districts- Craig Smith, Josh Vick, Josh Ramsey, Ty Habner, Mitch Portlock
Northern cities - Matt Keatley, Michael Burford
MMBB - Brad Valentine, Ben Newberry, Luke Wells, Leigh Kruger, Peter Safralidis, Damian Stevens, Michael Arnold, Ryan Bennett.
South East - Brian Durbridge, Adam Merrett, Luke Button,
Eyre Peninsula - Michael curtis, Mark Habner, Simon Pedlar.
Centrals - Todd Miles, James Vandleur, Ryan Darling, Ben Kerslake, Peter Mann.

Easy on the name calling big fella, Everyone gets a say on here whether we all agree or not.

Fair to say however we haven't seen the best from Scotty "too hotty" for a few years, but he's still playing Two's and getting in people's ears, if you don't like it, give him some back, but i'm not sure we need to worry about potting Reserve grade players. Let's get excited about what's happening week in week out in the tightest comp we've had in years.
