I querried the wind with a seconds player from South .As I thought there was more wind in the first game than in the second .He told me it was only windy at the top of the goal posts

Unley Oval has a good feel to it with plenty of supporters chearing them on, we dont need a speaker playing a silly roar when South score a goal, it must of been broken when Sturt played south that day, ah no that is right, i forgot, South didnt score many that day.

The only good thing about Unley is everyone is on the one wing/two pockets. Hence the crowd noise etc...

Still looks average standing on the hill, and seeing a third of the outer vacant.
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

Well done South on the improvements to the ground, was a very pleasant day there yesterday and I thought South presented the day well with Auskickers, music and dancing routines.

So what are the next in the Noarlunga Oval Developments. Was a stand being built ontop of the Dan Moriarty changerooms?

Navy, that was to happen but proved too expensive what with the $3.5ml cost to complete the re-development. However i wish they had built that first as that is the only thing missing that would have finished off the build perfectly. Plenty of Southies want that stand to replace that stratco shelter but maybe after some debt reduction.

I think a penguin colony could do well over there - the climate would suit them

Yes the climate would probably suit Penguins the reason I asked is are they going to try something out there to lessen the wind factor? Eventually?

Jeez, you guys must be soft! [Unless Noarlunga is a colder pocket than SA further south.]
Last time I was at Victor and travelling around Mt Compass, Inman Valley, and Kangarilla, in April 2007, it was a lot warmer than Melbourne, and Melbourne is usually 6 degrees warmer than where we live.
Even at Hahndorf in the winter I had to go out on winter mornings and break the ice off the chooks' water.

I would be interested in seeing the overall site plan for Noarlunga Oval. Does anyone still have it? I think it was posted earlier, but it now appears as red x's on my screen.

I'd also love to see pics of the finished development if anyone has some ready to go.

Has anyone seen the new coach's box?

What a balls-up!

Again a lack of professionalism and inability to do things right.

Good one MN. Disgraceful.
