All he does is zone off his opponent and punish poor forward line delivery by floating in front and taking easy grabs (A touch like Kev Koch from IB). He very rarely beats opponents as he never really bothers with them. Yes he kicked a few goals last week so he is dangerous in that respect, but generally all he does is feed off the mistakes of the opposition. And does anyone else se the irony in a 6"7 bloke who takes the kick outs but almost always kicks to a contest??!!! If IB can use the skill level their squad clearly has to deliver quickly and precisley to guys like Gratez and Naughton on the lead they will be a serious show. If they bomb into Gigney's lap they will be in trouble. And if he goes forward, Koch would be the best match-up in the comp for him anyway.

He may well do all that but he is still my tip for the Mail medal.

Southern Districts Zone:

GSFL: Sam Alexopolous, Jonothan Cheetham, Craig Dobson, Matthew Ellis, Wes Glass, Matthew Hodge, Andrew McDonald, Mitchell Portlock, Todd Steele, Nick Warren.
SFL: Tyrone Bennetts, David Kettle, Josh Ramsey, Daniel Reavill, Matthew Reavill, Josh Vick (Captain), Daniel Schneyder, Craig Smith.
KIFL: Adam Buick, Josh Lade, Shane Matthews, Clayton Wilson.
HFL: Brady Dawe, Ty Habner, James Sitters.

Excuse my ignorance guys but who do those 3 play for??
Were others asked to play and turned it down cos, no disrespect to those guys, surely theres better players in Central to represent the Hills?
I know of one guy who played in Southern Districts last year and didn't hear a word about the whole thing this year. Thought Owen loved the interleague and country championship games.
Maybe I should write a letter to the Final Siren... see if it gets in there

Ironbank over blackwood by 5 points  . B Grade & U17's also caused upsets............great day for the Army Tanks......doubt they would have ever won all 3 grades at windy hill before.

Big question is can Ironabnk make the five? Probably still need to beat 1 or 2 of Mt Ronnie, Lofty, Urailda which are all away..........plus beat Hahndorf at home. But after today's result and pushing Lofty as close as anyone in the last 10 or 11 weeks maybe they are a darkhorse?

Any scores from the other grades?

Was a great day at Windy Hill. Great Standard game all day. But thunderers came out trumps on the day. Big night I can tell you. Courier Cup B Grade, 17's Domination & then gutsy A grade performance. Best thing about the win is it lasts for two weeks ( Go the Bye ). Gigney standout for Blackwood - has to be mail medal chance - old bald man even toook a screamer - he can still jump. Whats with Gigney's boots today - one red asics and one blue asics - evidently it is to remind him of which one is his kicking foot - ha ha - yes i will even laugh at my jokes - bit pissy better get to bed - G'day Gigs if u are a forum man. Storm coming \:D/ \:D/

Lofty too good in all 4 grades against onkas... B;s turned around a loss from their first clash to win by about 12 goals. good to see the return of a club champion and previous association player dave mutton have a run in the b's and dominate..

A's had a good start to the game pushing out infront early but to onkas credit wouldnt go away.they got to within a goal a couple of times but lofty just too classy and hard at the ball when it counted.. won by about 3 goals but again kicking badly ruined our chances of making it embarrassing for them. 13.19 to 12.9ish

people talkin up gigneys chance at the mail, id say my money is on Brad "3 votes" Burch, is having an absolute cracker of a yr, and challenge people to find a harder player at the ball in the comp..
VOTE1 Tom Maslin for the seat of MAYO!!

Great win to the Dev's! Onkas seem pretty hit and miss. Up one week, ordinary the next - is that a fair assessment?

Agree TWE - When Morris from your B's hits you, you know you've been hit. Wouldn't show it though! Just gotta suck it up.

Does anyone know who got in the best in this game. By the sounds Brad '3 votes' burch was up there again. Was a great hitout, Onkas really took it up to Lofty.

Billy Bawden got best for devils- far and away the best on ground for Mt Lofty. I haven't seen a guy 2m tall move as well in HFL footy, dominated the taps and racked up the possessions. Other best players were Matt Stapes, Burch, Artis and not sure about 5th best. Chris Shee was bog in the first half, kicked about 5 I think for the game, Gardener and Smart for Onkas were also very impressive. After these 3 guns and perhaps S.Tanner and Contin I think it drops away a bit for Onkas compared to the evenness of lofty across the field and this is the difference between the teams at the moment. It was a very physical game and I know there were many sore players afterwards.

B grade looks a very good title race at the moment. A solid win to Lofty will hopefully push us up into the top 3 which is always an advantage come finals but obviously Ironbank and Blackwood have been the best performed teams so far.

TWE I agree about Exelby as being a genuine hard nut, would love to have a guy like that in your team but not sure you should be mentioning some of the other players in the same discussion as Brad Burch. They may be as hard at the ball but Burchy would get to 4 times the number of contests as those boys.

17's Sean Ingram (LOFTY) or Wotton from uris again

14's havent seen too many games but youngest Penny from the devs has been goin well the last few weeks so ill go with him....
