I can't answer either of those questions for you cyclops, as I try and avoid going to the tribunal.

cyclops, oh how clever you are...
here i was thinking that you had to be a goal kicker to get in the top 6, thankyou for clearing that up for me

i was purely trying to get an idea of what spot beeching played and what his role was on the weekend..
he has been pumped up on here the last week or so as a gun fwd. he plays his 1st game for the club, gets third best, but doesnt actually kick a goal..... so one wonders if he actually played in the fwd lines?

thought it was a pretty simple question really?

I doubt wether Reed will do much ruck work at the moment he needs a knee reconstruction thats why he wasnt playing at m/vale this season.Still a very hard match up tho because he has such strong hands.

I agree with you Cyclops, who said you have to kick goals to get in the best players, who knows Beeching might of assisted in 5 goals.
Thats what they call contributing to a TEAM performance.

so the guy needs a knee recon, played CHF, didnt kick a goal, and still got 3rd best in a winning side

he must be a gun

would have been handy to have in the rep game, might have made the difference??

Yeh he needed it about 3 qtrs of the way thru last season. In a final last year against h/valley reed destroyed them in a half of footy kicking about 6 or 7 goals then coming to the bench at half time for the remainder of the game. The guy is a freak being able to hobble around on one leg still taking contested marks.

I agree with footywiz there are plenty of people that would of always looked on here to hear about the weekend games and all but all we hear about is JERVOIS they do this they do that. the team is great we all know. but look ramblers would have to be favourite for the flag for the first time in 20yrs we dont hear much about that IT IS A RMFL THREAD NOT F*&* JERVOIS.

Thats probably fair enough, but i think the fact is, theres quite a few posters on here with connections to Jervois (players, supporters etc), so its only natural there will be a reasonable amount of chat about them. If there were people with connections to Imps and Ramblers etc etc i'm sure there be more chat about them as well (not that i'm a Bloods supporter myself).

Anyway, this weeks games (only 2 games programmed).

Meningie v Mypolonga - Mypo will be looking for a percentage booster against the winless Bears. Tigers 81 - 90.

Jervois v Tailem Bend - a quirk in the draw sees these clubs playing twice in 3 weeks, Tailem will be wanting to be competitive, Jervois 51 - 60.

Imperials/Ramblers/Mannum bye.

yeah i agree GWW.

it would be great to have more of a spread of people on here, rather than the majority from one club.
i guess that is our assignment for the week, see if we can get some of our friends, workmates, team mates, colleagues to register and start spinning some yarns on here...

Well you're obviously a Ramblers fan, so what's going on there Footywiz???
Like someone said, if you don't want to talk Jervois, which is fine with me, start a new discussion topic.
Can I ask if you know why Button isn't playing for Sturt this season, and did he play on the weekend? One of the best country footballers i've seen and played footy with!!

Sorry, but i dont really support anyone in the RMFL all i go for is who ever is playin in the bridge so i can watch, but as far as i know sturt wont play him in League down there because they dont think he is a League backman and with Sturts recruits up foward they dont need him there either and he would rather play for Ramblers than Sturt Reserves..

ill have a crack at this....

GF will be ........ mmmmmm ..... ill go out on a limb and say jerv and mypo and ramblers will go out in straight sets
mail medal - who the hell knows what the umpires are thinking, but ill go with luke button. gun player that will stand out in his first year back and is a nice bloke so the umpires should like him and scribe his name down.
leading goal kicker - assuming rigney continues playing at full fwd he has it in the bag. gerardi is overseas and missed too many games early and martin from mypo is a chance but the way trevor is piling them on, he wont stay in front for much longer.
best under 21 - is this voted on by the umpires does anyone know? unsure but a few names could be dylan hogarth from tailem, scott megeghiti from mypo or henry hodge from imps and that little fwd pocket from ramblers, cant remember his name though? this is a hard one for me though as im unsure who is still under 21 :?
reserves i have no idea about. dogga garrett from imps could possibly get some votes although im not sure how much he says to the umps. cant really think of many others. cutter maybe from mannum?
under 17's - wyngard from imps, freestone from mypo.....???

anyone else
