What a brave prediction from a brave person who hides with no name.

Mallee Park oval is a disgrace and there is a reason why they dont play there in the first 5 rounds because it is shit!

Darren Francis could come to us next year as he is p##ssed off at being dropped.

Yeah - he fastens himself to the wind farm blades and farts which makes them go round and that gives us all this energy we use to be able to power up our computers and type garbage on here like I am doing right now.

You've done a lot of complaining over the past week T07, has it been that time of the month again or are Bostons still losing?

B Grade umpiring was very good as well. Blewy and some other guy who I have not seen umpire before.

Fiore played CHF for LS B's. Originally played junior footy for Waybacks, then went to Boston. Handy ressies player at best.

I don't really like to whinge about the umpiring, but the second half was disgraceful, especially the last quarter! There were 3 blatant decisions in about 5 minutes straight in front of goal. Wouldn't have changed the game, but would have put a bit more respectability on the scorecards. 1. RK took pack mark umpire didn't see, play on( fair enough, got over it), 2. RK dived on the ball with another Waybacks player and got done holding the ball( in the goal square. a bit annoying) 3. RK got red carded and reported for an attempted spoil. No above shoulder or below waist contact.(?????????????????????) They were however correct in sending JJ off for "being rough" enough said.

Sounds like RK had a bad day whoever he is?
We had a complaint about the umpiring from your game steakn. I agree the consistancy has to improved. They are generally doing a good job but we just need to work on the consistancy. While footballers have a bad day so do umpires some days, cut them a bit of slack.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Bit like some clubs have last quarter fade outs and cant put 4 quarters together and so it seems the same way with the umpires. Dont worry a week goes by and you get over it and cant change the outcome so you get on and play the next game.
Do you always drink this much?
No i was sober for 11 years...

You should see the standard of umpiring up here then.

Ramblers really pushed us on Saturday for 3/4 but we only had half a side in. The rough tactics they used didnt work.

Its the old story here, if you go into the game with the mindset that the umpiring is bad, then it will be. Honestly some clubs need to get over themselves before they start worrying about other issues.

One thing I would like the umpires to do, and I believe it is lacking, is overcome their hesitancy in calling a free when the other umpire is in control of the game. All too often an infringement is made, whether it be a punch, throwing someone to the ground etc, off the ball, and it is seen by the non-controlling umpire and nothing is done by him. Isn't that one of the reasons we have more than one umpire.
I wonder how often the umps have discussions about these sort of things at the practices.
I am aware of one instance recently where an umpire (not in control of the game at the particular point in time), saw something off the play and blew his whistle and awarded a free against the infringer, only to be told after the game that he should not have called it cos he wasn't in control of the play at the time. FFS. When challenged by the umpire as to the logic behind that he changed his mind and said yes you did have the power to do that.
Like I said above, these things need to be discussed etc by the umps at practices as there appears to be some confusion amongst themselves even.
Perhaps these comments can be seen as constructive criticism with a recommendation attached rather than just bagging the umpires.
Maybe they do discuss it - I don't know. But if they do they need to discuss it a bit more and the implementation of it and other things.
