Big Phil wrote:It has been written a few times in the press about how some of the Centrals players look too complacent with their spot in the side and as much as I had to admit it, this is spot on. IMO, too many players are playing within themselves based on their reputations from the past and this year this is clearly evident in some of the performances we have put together. Centrals sides of the past have taken pride in not having to rely on just 3 or 4 stars, they seem to be able to get the best out of AT LEAST 15 or 16 blokes on the day and results have come accordingly. This year, too many blokes look flat, dis-interested (big thing to say, I know, but at times it does look like their minds are elsewhere) and too many have just left the slack to be taken up by our 3 or 4 only consistant performers this year in Paul Thomas, James Gowans, Chad O'Sullivan and maybe throw in young Dan Havelberg.
That is exactly the same as the Eagles this year. Just replace the names Thomas, J Gowans, O'Sullivan and Havelberg with Treeby, Powell, Passador and Fitzgerald.
