I rarely carry change, as we tend to chuck it in a jar at home for things like Pizza.
I try to pay with smaller notes because I know finding change is tricky for shop-keepers, but reasonably often I have nothing smaller on me than a $50.
Then I offer the shop-keeper the choice of the $50 or the Visa card as there isn't much choice.... :(

You're not related to the British Royal Family are you Psyber. I heard they never carry anything less than 50 bucks

Agreed fully, I make a point of carrying change so I can get in and out of the fast lane as quick as possible out of consideration for the people behind me, in smaller shops people appreciate you giving the right money too.
The amount of times peole get a card out to buy a bloody iced coffee or similar is amazing, they should all be shot!

I always scoop a handful of coins out of my change jar before leaving the house. That typically turns into a coffee at Adelaide train station while I'm waiting for my connection.

I empathise fully with the "wallet full of $50 notes" complaint; blame the ATMs. These days when I withdraw $ from an ATM I withdraw an amount which requires a few $20 notes to make it up, e.g. $180 = 2 fittys and 4 lobsters.

Spot on. I do the same. Always grab the right coins for the Budget lady at the Bay (hey Psuedo  ), and usually have the coinage for a Hotdog !

Nothing worse then breaking a $50 for a minimal costing item...

I hate when I put in a really good post waiting for a bite and..........nothing. Then someone else comes on and changes the subject and my post gets lost in the system. :?

I keep trying to remember to do that but the jar is in the kitchen/rear family room about 25 metres from the front door, and so I often don't think of it until I've already driven off. I keep some coin in each car for meters, but I use that so rarely I don't remember to grab that either.

Both families are rugby lovers. Had a huuuge fight with the missus about it, still not resolved. I'm hoping I can skip the ceremony which is at 3.30pm and just go to the reception at 6. Win/win situation, piss up with mates watching the GF and then piss up with her afterwards all on someone elses money

Sounds reasonable to me - birth is "women's business" as far as I am concerned.

But I do have my redeeming features - I talk to women rather than treat them as objects!
