I'm pretty sure with the points system they have in place that this would be very hard to do and in fact even with Reid, Jervois are still under their allocated points. Maybe there's room still for one more M/V player??

I will be a MV player if it gets me $500 (do I need a bung knee?)

Geez this is certainly big news for the emus and the SFL. If true (which it obviously is) he has been a great player for the emus in their premiership era and also touted as one of the better SFL players in the 2000's. It a shame we have lost him from our league to the RMFL for $$$. I will admit tho, if the money is as much as whats been reported then that is hard to knock back.

From what I hear around the traps morphies players arent on the most money going around.

If reid was to come back to the emus next year (IF?) would he go back to what he was on before he left or would he be paid minimum payements? Surely a few of the other high profile players would be dirty if he came straight back and went onto higher payements. Could cause even more dramas down at emu land if this happens.

I think you have raised some very good points.
I know that alot of player payments went up since Hilly was appointed, to kerb for a few dislikes I think.
Would be a very interesting situation. He is a valuable player no doubt not sure if the Emus would offer him what Jervoi$ have though.

Ha ha ha... You make me laugh with your ill informed postings... So you heard Reid was leaving when you were at the front bar hey "Dog Boy" a few weeks ago, you know his personal situation as well i assume... This decision was made over the weekend... Just because things are happening down at Emu land don't keep going back to "I told you i heard this when i was at the front bar"... As one of my earlier postings state, keep praying for a implosion Hound, according to you it is not far away...

Does not matter that Ried is going to Jervois as the Emus are still the side to beat with good depth and excellent youngsters at the club whoever can beat them when it counts will be going bloody well to do so.Definately still the benchmark but the season is shaping up for a great finals series.

Shock horror, a player that hasn't played all year, and wasn't going to play all year, is going to play the second half of the season earning good coin at a club with a couple of mates? What is the world coming to Hound. Reid isn't fit he knows he's not fit and I'm sure that if they didn't waive the weekly mortgage repayments in front of him he wouldn't have bothered going to Jervois.

Maybe we could put a hat around to get you some petrol money so you can drink at the Jervois local, I'm sure the lads at the Emu would thank us.

Morphies are heading down to Flagstaff Hill to take on the Bushpigs, and Shane Fishlock is playing game number 300, not a bad effort! And anyone who has had the misfortune to be tackled by the Fish this year will know that he is still going great guns.
