They seem determined to make this guy into a bowler don't they? :)

ive got no idea why they persist with this bloke, everytime ive seem him play at international level he does nothing, i wouldve thought they could use the onedayers to blood the next spinner for test good opportunity for it

I think they're using the same tactic as they did with Bob Holland, he debuted at 38 for memory.

Equating Cameron White, who has little to no control over the ball and Dutchy Holland, the venerable master of his craft is quite amusing and I don't really think you intended to do this. Holland played at a time when pace was king and also at a time when Roo Yardley had a boom year to get the jump on other tweakers. Full credit must go to Dutchy for being good enough to make his mark on test cricket for when he got his late call up.

Not as late as Victorian Don Blackie mind you, who made his test debut at age 46!

REB

Brad Haddin is to return to Australia due to his broken finger, and Ronchi will debut tonight for Australia. This is the Aussies only change, while the Windies have replaced Sarwan (injured) and Ramdin (dropped) with Powell and Browne.
