blockie almost on the money with tips this week, only Angaston let me down and deflated a few supporters I would think, unusal for them to lay down and be over run. Be great to read Media Mike Teakles report this week, no doubt Angaston would have been unlucky and they are still playing young blokes etc yadah yadah yadah

Tanunda, Barossa, Gawler Centrals to fight out the top three the way it is looking at mid season. Tanunda V Gawler Centrals should tell a tale this weekend.

Gawler Centrals loom as a big danger, they are starting to hit their straps and are sneaking under the radar with everyone talking about Tanunda and Barossa.

Nuri are too small and ran out of legs, rely on two or three and then falls away Cragg Sapsford played pretty well in the ruck though.

More than locals with concern about Freeling's preformance I think skipper, maybe tanking for more import allocation next year! LOL.

Does anyone know if the Barossa player was suspended for not being available for assocaition game?

Does anyone know how the votes are worked out for the Player of the Year on the website. Is that done by coaches? Find it quite interesting that Nuriootpa, at second bottom have 3 players in the top 5?? All three are good footballers but...

The names on the web site are the one's that go into the paper. What the coachers put in could be very different from what the coachers think. You should know some clubs don't put in what the coach thinks and put in names just to keep the papers happy.

The top 3 would be safe in their possies, what about 4th spot, who will take it?

4th spot will be out of South and Willaston - the match between these two could be the difference. I dont think Angaston or Kapunda are good enough at this stage...

South as long as they find some consistency, form suggests they should knock over all sides beneath them, can they push the top 3? But you never know what can happen before the 30th June, maybe Willaston can still pull off some recruiting. Angaston young lads may find the season just a bit too tiring this year. Kapunda depends which team turns up. other two are way finished

Agree that the top 3 are safe but I think Willaston have got the goods for me at fourth. South are the St Kilda & Collingwood of the BLG, always promise a heap and deliver nothing. Kapunda are certainly not quite there, there are some frustrations about their consistancy. When they are good they are really good but when they are bad they are really bad and the coaching staff are finding it hard to get through to the players (this comes from a very high source in the club). Blockie you are on the money about media Mike he will find away to spin a couragous performance out of his Panthers in the Mis-Leader.

Blockie you reakon Freeling are tanking it now to get import allocations. They may well be stuffed when this new housing development kicks in over there and the formula changes for them. I have a feeling however that they will find a way around this (a few sleeping in caravans on grain farms).

Ive got Willaston for the 4th position...
If Gawler Central are locked in the top 3 and Willaston only went down by 3 goals to them. They mustn't be too far off the pace. Apparently they are still recruiting, that can only help their cause.

Willaston for 4th spot. South just don't have the players to do the hard work. Angaston have to many young players, Next year you will see a different Angaston for the better. I don't think we have seen the best out of Barossa this year. Willaston will get more players and they will do so after the cut off point as Nobby is their No1 card holder.

exactly right Brod... i think the Donny's may have a bit of an 'ego' problem at the minute with a few players worried about how many kicks they will have rather than what will benefit the team...

South have been in this position in the past and have always fallen short of the target. I don't think thay have the man power to get over the line.

I agree that they are up and down side but when they are up and running they will be a top four side. But at the minute I would not say they are playing anywhere near their full potential.

Sounds like an excuse slipper... most sides would be able to argue that they are not playing to their full potential...

Agree Tex, even the top four coaches will all say they are not yet running at full potential. It is just a question as to wether a coach can get them to reach their full potential.

That's an interesting quote there Holden, are you suggesting that Willaston might be allowed to twist the rules???
