I see that the Southern Zone team is going to withdraw from the Championships if the SANFL don't put the RMFL back into the Southern area!

was just reading an article online about it too...

seems a real pity for the players and hopefully it gets resolved soon (the carnival is in a few weeks i think?)

surely the players could just organise their own team...

like the south african tour???

I would have thought the zone team would have been picked on the performance against the GSFL in the association team?

yes.... and no....

as a rule it does, but i also think they reward players who have played previously in zone. so they may not be in the top 3 or 4 for the assoc game, but will still be selected as they have proven themselves in previous years. eg morris
and if someone is unable to play assoc due to injury, they may be given the chance to try out for zone. eg G pedlar

can see your point but it cant really be judged solely on the performance of one game can it?

Ramblers were probably still partying from last weeks effort, maybe they forgot about the other teams in the Competition. A good wake up call!

About 18.13 to 7.6 in favour of Jervois.

So what happened in the Ramblers v Mypo game? Was it a case of too many players out for Ramblers or was it they went into the game already physched out? When they state that their biggest threat for the Premiership is Mypo, sounds like they were already beaten before hitting the park.

Ramblers had some good players out in Button & Girardi, but Mypo also had some good one's out in Lynne, & that second full forward they have.
When was that statement made ie: biggest threat, Pantha?? Who said it?

Was in Dalwoods latest write up in the standard, "....and when asked who their favourite team outside the red and white was, both Liam and Patrick O’Neil piped up and said “the Mypolonga Tigers”. "

No sorry, didn't see any games Hills.

From reading the report on the RMFL site, it looked like Joe Pedler dominated in defence and this meant that Jackson and Morris had a limited influence. It really does seem strange that Girardi would go on holidays for 6 weeks in a year when Ramblers have their best chance for a flag in 20 years.

Did any1 see that the RMFL has pulled out of the Country Champs, along with the Southern Districts team. Players from the league can still play for the South East side but not under the RMFL banner. Floata, hope your earlier prediction about suspension for playing instead of one for not playing as in the assoc match doesn't come true!!!

Do feel for guys who would have a chance at SA country side, from the other 3 leagues that used to be involved with the Southern Districts side tho!! Now have no real way of making it me thinks
